‘Beautiful sunset, green scenery, gorgeous flowers, warm wind blowing your hair, perfect place for picnic Ren thought.
Ahh he was so happy, to sit here with Doc right next to him, just enjoy their company.
He glanced at his best friend. -“Hey dude…”
Doc smiled warmly. -“Yeah?”
His face was so beautiful, Ren couldn’t look away. -“I … ’
-”…miss you.“ Ren wake up, with tears running down his cheeks.
He laughed sadly, so it was just a dream huh? Yeah it was too good to be true.
But he can’t let this take his mind, not again.
Ren hardly rolled off the bed, and stood up.
He had work and Rendiggitydog does not neglect work!
He dressed, ate breakfast and walk outside to meet new day.
First off, he went to see how his shop is doing, and to be honest, past few days he had really good sell.
Together with Cub, they were doing great job, at Giga Pie’s Factory.
He was happy Cub kept him company, but he still missed Doc, he hadn’t seen him since season opening.
Doc have been in his stupid village, miles away, they didn’t even had chance to talk since then.
He sighed, quickening his movement. He walk inside the shop, Grian, who right now was shopping, waved at Ren.
-"Hey Ren! Great pie’s really. I am scared, i will buy all your stock, Haha!”
Ren waved back and laugh loudly. -“Don’t worry about that, men! You can buy as much you want!”
They both laughed, and then Grian, flew off, with new fresh supply of pumpking pie.
So shop was doing great, Ren nodded to yourself, good. He only check payment barrle, and headed back to factory.
In way to factory, familiar voice greats him. -“Hey men.” Ren looked around but no one was in sight.
-“Here, look up.” and he did, just to see Cub sitting on branch. Ren couldn’t hold his laught.
-“Why are you on a tree Cub! C'mon get down before you’ll fell on your head.” Cub just glanced down, and smile at him.
-“I can’t men, i’m trying to win big deal here. By the way are you okay Ren?
You seems kinda blue.” God damn, Cub had great eye even from a tree. Ren shaked his head and smiled.
-“Couldn’t be better!” Well, that was a lie, he felt terrible but Cub didn’t need to know that. -“If you say so.”
He waved at his friend, and headed to factory.
After checking, the factory worked flawlessly, Ren sighed, what he could do now? Today’s job had been done, so he had some free time.
Not knowing what to do, Ren just sat at nearby bench to enjoy nice weather.
It was almost sunset when Ren have heard happy voice behind him. -“Hi Ren! Goin’ home?” Gem’s voice greats him warmly.
-“Gem dude, happy to see you, yeah i was about to go home.” He gave her a big smile, however Gem looked at him with curious look.
-“Your eyes look really sad Ren, are you okay?” it was really that easy to spot? He never had good skills at hideing feelings, well.
-“I’m okay Gem.” She put her hand on his shoulder and said. -“You miss him right? Ren, it’s okay to feel sad… I’m sure you guys will be together again.” She gave him a comforting hug.
-“Thanks Gem, dude, you right. I hope so too.”
Thanks to Gem, Ren felt a little better after returning home.
She was right, at some point they will meet again right? With this thought, Ren went to sleep.
Next day, Ren decided to go for a walk, because he has not visited the area for a long time. Hermits were not slacking off, of course, from his last visit at spawn popped out same new interestling buildings.
Like for example, this sandstone one. Ren noticed it, because it was different from the rest. This caught his attention, hard enough, that Ren went to look closer.
He went all the way to the door without even thinking about it. Who could build it?
He thought, before someone put big paws on his shoulders and stick nose in to his hair from behind.
-“Who we got here hm?” Familiar voice asked. Happy tears flowed down, and Ren started crying.
-“Do…Doc! My dude! You’re back… I..I missed you so much!” Doc muffled yourself into his friend. -“Oh Ren… It’s okay now, i’m here.”
They stood there for a while until he calmed down.
Doc let go and Ren turned around to see his hybrid friend face. Doc put his paw on Ren’s cheek.
-“Now i’m living here, we can meet every day Ren.” Oh, Ren couldn’t be happier, his tail waved like mad.
-“ I’m so happy, men I really missed you so so much.” Doc leaned and kissed his forehead. -“I know Ren, I’m sorry, i shouldn’t go that far.”
They both sat inside, just to cuddle rest of the day, who need work?
When your love, your best friend just came back.
Ren didn’t want to leave so they both slept together in Doc’s bed.
He couldn’t had better day then this.
