The Doctor was not there when I got to the console room. I was kind of glad as I was a bit shaken and my face had the remnant of tears that had fallen down my face.
I had just woken up from a bad, vivid nightmare to try and find comfort before I went back to sleep.
I found my eyes land on the Doctor's long brown trench coat on the bar. I smiled going over and looking at it remembering the many memories we've had when he had been wearing it.
I put it on out of sheer curiosity, it was too big for me but it was comfy and smelled like him.
I knew I should take it off as it was his but I had an idea. Maybe I could use it as a blanket to get me to sleep. I went out the console room and back to my room...
The Doctor was looking for his coat, he could have sworn he left the coat on the bar in the console room but it had disappeared. He decided to find you as maybe you'd be able to help.
When he eventually got to your room door in the tardis he spoke "y/n have you seen my-" he was cut off by the sight of you asleep cuddling up with the coat.
He smiled softly feeling honoured that something of his was being used by you. He went over and kissed your forehead lovingly "sleep well y/n" he said quietly
