Summary
"Along with tales of the four lords raining their blessings upon the village, there was another tale. Or rather, tales.
The woods to the east were guarded by an evil beast, or so the legend goes. Those who enters those woods never returned after all. Though some have teetered on the outskirts of the woods, only to rush back screaming of a creature with many eyes and dripping wings that would drag the ground.
In turn this mysterious thing was refer to as many things. Some of the men joked that it was Medusa, claiming that if they were to send a woman into the woods, she would return unharmed. Some claimed it was simply a varcolac, no one dared to fight such a thing, all they could do was hide and pray. Some referred to it as some kind of Boogeyman, to scare kids into behaving. Some even referred to it as eurus, the Greek god of the east wind.
But there was one name that most of the village agreed upon to call this creature.
