Work Text:
Chloe screeched as she felt someone hit her back and make her stumble forward, spinning around with a shriek, "Who do you think you are?!"
The boy went to face her, quietly saying an apology for bumping into her before turning around and starting to walk away again.
"No, come back here!" Chloe reached out to grab the sleeve of his red hoodie, forcing him to look at her. He looked kinda familiar. Was he that one kid from the other class Sabrina played soccer with sometimes? Marc? "How dare you even think of touching me?! I could have you sued for this! I can't believe you thought you could bump into moi and get away with it!"
"...Are you done yet?" Marc looked uninterested, eyes looking elsewhere.
"What do you mean by that?! Do you know who my daddy is?! Do you know who I am?!"
Marc rolled his eyes, "Yeah, yeah. Oh, I'm the mayor's daughter! Yadda, yadda."
"You...!"
"Listen," Marc turned to her, glaring venomously. She froze. That defiant gaze. Chloe had barely seen it, especially not from someone who's not even in her class.
Chloe removed her hand, stepping back apprehensively. Marc didn't follow her, but as he continued staring, she felt she had to stop.
"Everyone else here may be scared of you. I've seen how they react. Every time you reach for your phone, they tense up. Well, guess what Bourgeois."
Marc stepped forward, until they were face to face.
"I only transferred here this year. I haven't seen these so called terrifying acts of yours. So, I'm not scared of you." Marc leaned in further, "And that takes away most of your power, doesn't it?"
