"Don't say that!" Atsushi protested, pouting as he swiveled his chair to look at Dazai.
"Don't say what?" Dazai tilted his head as he asked.
"That you're trash!" Atsushi mustered up the strictest glare he could direct at the man.
"Eh?" Dazai asked, seemingly even more confused now.
"Don't say you're trash. You're one of the smartest and most capable people here. You also care about everyone, even if you don't show or say it upfront. You-" Atsushi was cut off when Dazai chuckled, hand pressed to his lips to hide his smile.
"I was just kidding Atsushi-kun! I don't really think I'm trash." Atsushi felt his face warm.
Alternatively: Nakajima Atsushi is hopelessly in love and he does a shitty job at hiding it.
