4 years have already passed since Ganyu gave birth to their child, Qingyu. She has blue hair like Ganyu, bright purple eyes like Keqing, and of course, horns like Ganyu’s but with smaller size. Because of their work, they will leave their child with Zhongli at Wangsheng Funeral Parlor every morning, and then they will pick her up in the evening. And sometimes they will also go home quickly especially to spend more time with their child.
Although usually, they leave their child with Zongli, there are times when he can’t look after Qingyu because of work, like today. So at times like that, they will bring her with them to work. And luckily, since they came back to work from their maternity leave, Ningguang arranged a new office, especially for both of them. Thinking that maybe a time like this will happen.
Right now, Keqing and Ganyu take turns playing with Qingyu, and right now it’s Keqing’s turn while Ganyu continues her work at her desk.
After sitting on the sofa, Keqing pat her head and said “Yu, what do you want to play?” gently.
“I’m working right now Qing, we will play later” hearing Ganyu say that Keqing and Qingyu see each other and then they’re laughing. And when Ganyu heard them laughing, she raised her head from her paper and then tilted her head while seeing them, not knowing what they were laughing at.
After a few minutes finally, Ganyu realized what she said “S-sorry, I think you talk to me. Don’t mind me” said Ganyu bashfully.
“Mommy shy, cute!” said Qingyu while smiling brightly.
“Yeah, your mommy is cute! Qingyu too. Both of you are the cutest, and most beautiful girls” said Keqing while hugging and rubbing her cheek on Qingyu’s head.
While giggling, Qingyu said “Mom too”
“Oww, you’re just too cute!” said Keqing while tightening her hug
Seeing her wife and kids like that makes Ganyu smile, especially because of her wife. Compared to the first time they met, she seems kinder and more approachable and of course, she’s cuter smiling and giggling with their child like that. After seeing their wife, and child play for a while, she closed her eyes and tried to refocus herself. Then, she does her paper again with a smile on her face.
When lunchtime came, they went to Wanmin restaurant with Qingyu in the middle of them, Keqing on the left, and Ganyu on the right holding her hands. On the way to the restaurant, they pass by Qiqi, which seems troubled. Can’t leave her alone, they approach her and ask her.
“Hello Qiqi, what are you doing here?” Said Ganyu while crouching to see her eye to eye.
When she heard someone talking behind her, Qiqi turned around, and then she tilted her head and put her index finger on her chin trying to remember her.
“It’s me Ganyu”
After hearing Ganyu’s name, Qiqi said “Cocogoat, Qiqi just remember”
Ganyu just smiles, glad that she still remembers her although she calls her with that weird nickname “So, what are you doing here?” Ganyu asks her again while Keqing is playing, and talking with their daughter to distract her from running around.
“Doctor Baizhu ordered me to buy lunch. He’s still working, and can’t move from his lab. But I forget where I can find the food. I don’t bring my old notebook”
“Do you know what he wants?”
Qiqi opens her notebook to search doctor Baizhu’s order and then she read aloud what’s inside “minty meat rolls, and anything you want to eat”
“Oh, you can buy it in Wanmin restaurant. How about you come with us? We want to go there too.”
“Okay, I will follow Cocogoat.”
At Wanmin restaurant, after ordering their food, and doctor Baizhu’s food, they sit at available seats. Keqing sits beside Qingyu, Ganyu sits in front of Keqing, and Qiqi beside her. While waiting for their food, Ganyu asks Qiqi if she still remembers Qingyu. And Qiqi answered “I don’t know”
“It’s natural you didn’t remember her. The last time you met her was 4 years ago and she’s still a baby.” Ganyu remembers that time when she was giving birth to Qingyu, Qiqi tried her best to help doctor Baizhu. Although at that time it was pretty hectic, and hard for her, seeing Qiqi like that helped her to give her best too.
While Ganyu reminisced about their first time as a family with baby Qingyu, Keqing saw them one by one with a smile, thinking that what a lucky girl she is to have a beautiful wife and two daughters. She thinks Qiqi likes her daughter too because in the past when they were in the middle of dates, Qiqi will interrupt them either because of lost or forgot something, which makes Ganyu can't leave her alone. And from that on, she will join in their date.
At first, she didn't like Qiqi because her date with Ganyu became a ruined mess and they must help her but when she thinks about it, it's pretty sad if she's in her shoes, easily forgetting something, and no one wants to help her. So from that on, she swore to herself to treat her better.
Meanwhile, both of her parents got lost in their minds, Qingyu stares at Qiqi wondering about her, especially the paper on her forehead. And Qiqi stared back at her with a blank head. After staring at each other pretty long, Qingyu breaks the silence and asks “Mom, what is that?” Qingyu looks toward Keqing and points at the paper on Qiqi’s head.
Don’t know if her daughter knows what she says or not, Keqing explains the paper to her from her experience with Fatui “Mom doesn’t know what it is precisely but usually that paper is used to seal something or revive something?”
“Seal? Revive? “ Qingyu tilted her head and saw Keqing with a confused face, don't know what she said.
Hearing her daughter’s confusion, Ganyu said “If you want to know, you must eat all of your vegetables so you can grow up quickly, and at that time you can ask Qiqi Jie - Jiè to answer your question.”
“Qingyu can’t eat veggies and mommy can’t eat meat. We’re the same.”
“....” Ganyu becomes speechless hearing her daughter say that. Like if she thinks like that, it seems true.
Seeing her wife almost believe what her daughter says, Keqing tries reasoning with her daughter “Don’t you say that you want to become Tianquan so mommy and mom mustn’t work? If you don't eat your veggies, you can’t grow and you can’t become Tianquan if you’re not smart like aunt Ningguang.”
Qingyu puffed her cheek, disagreeing but she can’t say anything because what her mom said is true. “Then Qingyu will try a little…”
“Good girl.” Said Keqing while ruffling her hair. “If you can eat all of your veggies properly, mom will buy you anything you want.”
“Really!?” Qingyu looked at Keqing with her bright eyes, excited about her mom’s word
“Yes, mom never lies to you.”
And at the right time, when they finished their conversation, chef Mao came with their food. Chef Mao placed mint salad in front of Ganyu, two plates of golden shrimp balls in front of Keqing, and triple-layered consomme in front of Qingyu, and Qiqi.
Like always, Ganyu will eat her food first and Keqing will spoon-feed Qingyu. But seeing Qiqi, who she thinks is the same age as her, eating by herself, Qingyu said “Mom, Qingyu wants to eat by myself.”
Knowing her daughter doesn't want to lose to Qiqi, Keqing just smiles, and then she said “But be careful, it’s still hot” after that, she gave the spoon to Qingyu and sees it for a while, how her daughter tried to use the spoon clumsily. After ensuring she can eat properly or at least didn't spill the hot food on herself, Keqing eats her food too while occasionally seeing her daughter.
After finishing their food, as Keqing’s word, they went to a toy shop for Qinyu as a reward for finishing her vegetable. When they arrive, Qingyu holds Qiqi’s hand and runs into the shop to see every toy they have. But not long after that, they came back, and then she said “I want a sword but when Qiqi Jie - Jiè asks the clerk she said they don’t have it” while hanging her head down, dejected.
Ganyu and Keqing were surprised, not predicting that their daughter wants to buy a sword. “Yu, you’re still a kid. You can’t play with a sword, it’s dangerous. Mommy won’t allow it’s too fast for you.” said Ganyu worried about her daughter.
“But Qiqi Jie - Jiè has a sword. Qingyu wants a sword too!”
“Oh my god, every day she becomes more and more stubborn like you Qing.” Ganyu thinks it’s cute to see Qingyu like that. It’s like seeing Keqing with blue hair and a little horn in her child form. But at the same time, it’s troubling her. She doesn’t know how to say no to their daughter. But it isn’t something that they can give to her that easily.
“Hey, I’m not the only one who’s stubborn here.”
“At least I’m not as stubborn as you”
After that, they stare at each other, and then they chuckle knowing it’s true that both of them are pretty stubborn.
“Mom, Mommy!” said Qingyu, half screaming because seeing her mothers flirting with each other and forgetting about her wish.
“Sorry, little Yu” Said Keqing awkwardly because flirting, and forgot about her. “How about you pick something here first with Qiqi Jie - Jiè and then mom will do something about the sword?”
“Promise Qingyu you will give Qingyu a sword!”
“Yes, yes I will.” said Keqing willy-nilly.
“It doesn’t seem convincing…But Qingyu will believe mom for now…” Qingyu said in a low voice and then she went in again with Qiqi.
After their daughter was inside the store, Ganyu said “Qing! Are you really will give her a sword!?”
“Calm down Yu, I will not give her a real sword. I will order a custom sword from Mingxing Jewelry. I heard that Ningguang had requested them to repair a broken comb, and then she had requested them to make her board game for her secret project so I think it’s not a big deal for them to make a wooden sword or a plastic one.”
Hearing this Ganyu sighed in relief. “I just hope she will forget about it.”
“Don’t worry. If the sword is done, and she doesn’t ask for it again, I will not give it to her.” said Keqing while smirking.
“What a bad mom you are.” said Ganyu while smirking with her.
