Lila was in her bathroom, looking down at the positive pregnancy test.
"This can't be happening, I'm 24--I'm too young to be a mother!" Abortion was an option, but she didn't want to. If she said she was a surrogate, people will wonder who she's surrogating for.
"I need to hide the pregnancy. Chloe can probably help me with this."
This won't be her first time being a recluse. One time when she was a teenager, after Ladybug called out her lie in a humiliating way, she stayed home for a long time, telling her mom that the school was closed. She thought for sure Adrien was going to tell the whole class that she lied about everything.
For some reason, Adrien didn't do that, which made her like him even more, because any other boy would have humiliated her. Except Luka, but he was strange and lived in a boat. He now lives in a different boat with Zoe.
The COVID quarantine was actually the only time in her life she spent significant time with her mothers.
"Why don't you tell Felix the truth Mistress?" the kwami Nooroo said.
"As far as Felix is concerned, it was Farfalla Viola who had fun with him and was too distracted by an akuma to get Plan B, not Lila Rossi. Otherwise I would be living in high-class luxury."
"What will you do with the baby?"
"I have months to think about that. But they need to be where their 'Aunt' Lila will be lose by."
"You're leaving for the North Pole?" her mother said.
"Yes, and I need to go before there's too much ice to allow travel. One of the scientists there needs a bone marrow stem cell transplant, and I am the only one who is both a match and willing to go there and stay for months. The internet there will not be good enough for Zoom calls, but I'll still be able to send emails." This was probably on her top ten most outlandish lies she's ever told.
Her mother wiped tears away with her napkin. "I wish your Nonna was alive to see what a brave woman you have become."
Later, a thought occurred to her. What if someone notices that the akumatizations stopped when Lila Rossi was gone?
What about leaving the Butterfly miraculous in a box for Felix to find? No. How would she get it back?
Could she trust Chloe with it? To stay in the shadows so no one would notice that Farfalla Viola was missing, AND give it back to her? Teenage Chloe would have been a hard NO, but Adult Chloe is a different matter.
Stay hidden in Paris so she could still be Farfalla Viola? Where would she give birth? The local hospitals are out of the question.
