Ready to borrow

Summary:

Jang Jaeyoung doesn't push the envelope that much when it comes to Chu Sangwoo. Usually. Mostly. Until Sangwoo's actions after refusing to leave clothes at Jaeyoung's home are a complete surprise.

Work Text:

Having Chu Sangwoo sleep over, Jang Jaeyoung supposed, was now nothing new. But even though it was not something new, it was, forever, something special. It was the simple pleasure of sharing space with someone you loved and wasn’t that the point sometimes? The simple things?

Jaeyoung had never figured himself for that sort of romantic, but it seemed that there Choi Yuna had been correct. Love had changed him.

Love, for the most part, had not directly changed Sangwoo in Jaeyong’s estimations. Still very blunt, still very straightforward, but perhaps the sharper edges had been sanded down. Otherwise, Sangwoo was still very proper in the ways he wanted to do things. Even when it came to leaving a toothbrush or a spare set of clothes at Jaeyoung’s apartment, Sangwoo firmly refused.

“We haven’t reached that point in our relationship yet,” Sangwoo had said and continued packing his bag with only the necessities. “Perhaps in a few more years, I’ll reconsider.”

Given the trouble Jaeyoung had gone through to even reach this level where Sangwoo willingly chose to stay in the same building as him over night, Jaeyoung knew to abandon the battle. Once they’d arrived, Jaeyoung told Sangwoo he could shower first and use whatever he liked as Jaeyoung began preparations for dinner, AKA ordered takeout.

As Jaeyoung finished up and prepared to take his own shower while waiting for the food to arrive, Sangwoo emerged from the bathroom and Jaeyoung froze in place. Sangwoo was wearing his sweatpants, which were too long and covered his feet, and a t-shirt, which was already oversized on Jaeyoung and looked like it was swallowing Sangwoo whole.

Overcome with emotion, Jaeyoung did the only thing he could do. He tackled Sangwoo into the bed and cuddled him, aggressively.

“Yah! Hyung!” Sangwoo shouted as he tried to shove Jaeyoung off of him. “What are you-”

“Our little Sangchu is so cute,” Jaeyoung cooed as he squeezed Sangwoo in his arms. “You said you weren’t ready to leave clothes here, but you were ready to borrow mine?”

“Ugh,” Sangwoo groaned. “I should have known you’d react this way.”

“Borrow whatever you want, whenever you want,” Jaeyoung said as he continued to nuzzle the top of Sangwoo’s head.

“I’d borrow some braincells to replace the ones I’ve just lost, but you don’t have any either.”

“Sangchu-yaaaaahhhh,” Jaeyoung said in a sing-song voice. “If you do some aegyo for me, I’ll forgive you.”

“I’d rather walk around your apartment naked.”

Jaeyoung blinked. “I mean, I’m okay with that too.”

At last the doorbell rang and Sangwoo kicked Jaeyoung off and stormed out to get their dinner while Jaeyoung laughed on the floor for a few seconds before jumping into the bathroom for his shower before Sangwoo came back to beat some sense into him.
