“Izuku?”
”Yeah?”
”Wanna go dance in the rain?”
This got the attention of one Midoriya Izuku. Eijirou had been hanging out in his room with his boyfriend when he got an idea out of the blue.
“What do you mean?” Izuku asked confused. It was raining like there was no tomorrow outside. Even if it was summer and the weather was warmer than humanly necessary, going out there was just asking for a cold.
“I mean, that I want to go dance in the rain. And I want you to come with me,” Eijirou said as he put his phone away and moved from his position on the floor to the bed where his partner was sprawled out, trying to stay cool in the hot, damp air that filled the room.
“That’s just asking for a cold, and you know that,” Izuku said as he made room for Eijirou to lay next to him on the bed.
“I know that. But I’ve always thought of doing it but I’ve never had anyone who would do something like that with. And now I have you,” he punctuated his words with softly grapping Izuku’s chin and tilting his face so they could look each other in the eye. “Izuku, you are most likely the best thing to have ever happened to me, and I want to create memories that last with you. I want to look back to our high school days and laugh at how stupid we were,” Eijirou looked Izuku in the eyes and wondered how someone could have so deep, so purely green eyes as the boy he was laying next to. “And, it’s summer vacation. It wouldn’t matter if we got sick, we could just take care of each other and spend even more time together. And that is if we even get sick. It’s probably so hit outside the water would steam off before we even got back inside.”
“Okay.”
”Okay? Really? Zuku you’re the best!” Eijirou gave a big smooch right next to Izuku’s nose and hugged him tighter and warmer than at all necessary taking how warm it was in the room.
“Yes. Now get off me you doofus. You want to go outside in the rain or not, huh?” Izuku started rising from his position on the bed but his efforts were short lived because of the meat pack of a boyfriend that was still hanging on to his frame. It was already their third year at UA and the training they had done within the last two and some years was paying off for both of them.
“Aye aye, Zuku-bear!” Eijirou exclaimed as he dropped his hands from around Izuku and flopped back on to the bed unceremoniously.
From there, in one swift motion he dropped himself to the floor, taking Izuku’s hand and pulling him with.
“Eijirou! Do you want to go outside or not?!” Izuku gave Eijirou a death glare that was so full of fondness towards the redhead that it lost all of it’s power.
“Okay, okay, let’s go,” Eijirou laughed and pulled himself and Izuku up from the floor in a fluid motion and straight to the door that lead to the hallway.
Once they made it to the ground floor where the common room was, Eijirou started sprinting to the door, laughing, dragging Izuku along by their interlocked hands. The others in the common room could only watch with confusion and fondness at the sight that was the couple laughing and running to the door, even though it was raining cats and dogs outside.
They didn’t run far from the 3.A dormitory, only to the small planting of greenery, where Eijirou let go of Izuku’s hand only to grap the boy by his waist and lift him up so he could spin in endless circles around the grass.
They were laughing and smiling. Looking at each other with eyes that held so much love it was honestly disgusting if you asked someone. The rain was making Izuku’s curls stick to his forehead and Eijirou didn’t hold back from swiping them off to the top of Izuku’s head and planting a kiss there, wet from the rain.
Izuku looked at Eijirou with eyes filled to the brim with love, and couldn’t help himself from diving in to kiss him deep and passionate. The force he did it with knocking Eijirou off his feet and toppling them on the wet ground in a mess of limbs.
Eijirou burst out laughing. Smiling so brightly and fully that it must have hurt. He kissed Izuku with the same force Izuku had kissed him with, still smiling, still radiating impossible amounts of happiness.
When he pulled back, Eijirou stared at Izuku’s eyes, not unlike he had just moments before, and asked, “ What did I do to deserve you?”
Izuku just looked him in the eye, smiled with so much love and warmth that it melted Eijirou’s heart like it did every time, and lowered his head just enough so that their lips were only millimeters apart, and said, “We deserve each other, Eiji, all you had to do was come find me and bring your love and trust with you,” and kissed him with so much emotion it would have looked desperate to an outsider.
After a while they rose back up to their feet and danced slow, hugging each other like they were each other’s life forces. If you asked them, it wasn’t far from the truth. Listening to the other breathe was their ecstasy. Swaying to the nonexistent rythm that the rain provided was their music.
They spun in slow circles for an hour that felt like only a minute, but also like an eternity. Looking at each other like the other had hung the stars while the rain watered their clothes so the fabric stuck to their skins nigh uncomfortably, but they had no mind to even notice it.
Eijirou swiped droplets of water from Izuku’s eyebrow and gently brushed his thumb along his freckled cheekbone. He left butterfly kisses all along Izuku’s face and made his way down to his chin and neck. He just breathed the air at the crook of Izuku’s neck, leaving small kisses here and there.
Izuku brought his hands from Eijirou’s shoulders to grab his face between his scarred hands and admired the boy that he had the honour to call his boyfriend, and gave him one last longing kiss that lasted long enough that they both were breathless when they pulled back.
After that they broke their hold on each other and turned to walk back to the dorm building, hand in hand, fingers laced together like there was nowhere else for them to be.

”You two really should have thought about going out in the rain better. I mean, look at you two, was it such a good idea if you just ended up getting sick afterwards?” Kaminari waved his hands around, punctuating his words.
“Yeah, man, we thought about the consequences before we went and had our fun. We just didn’t care enough,” Eijirou said from the blanket cocoon he and Izuku were under in Eijirou’s bed.
Kaminari had come to bring them food and fresh water to make them feel better.
“Yeah, Kaminari, we wanted to just live a little. Make some memories, you know?” Izuku said from his spot glued to Eijirou’s side.
“I cannot believe you people sometimes,” Kaminari said and left the room, leaving the two boys to laugh at their friend’s antics.
