Don't bring fictional characters to life

Summary:

Gabriel Agreste was secretly always a huge fan of animated series and movies, but due to the way the Butterfly Miraculous worked couldn't include his huge knowledge about it into the akumas. However, once he got the Peacock Miraculous repaired, he could now bring literally any character to life!

So of course, once "My Little Pony: Equestria Girls" brought a new movie out, he had the genius idea to bring the "Dazzlings" into life...

Work Text:

Gabriel Agreste was a busy and serious man. Indeed, he got the reputation of being always alone, having the perfect manner and being even cut out from the world. However, he had some traditions he kept from his childhood that remained even in the days of being Hawk Moth. He was always a big fan of animated movies and series, you name one he surely watched it before falling asleep.

Due to the way the butterfly Miraculous works, he wasn't really able to incorporate his knowledge of the animated entertainment industry into the akumas, since the costumes and power comes mainly from the desires of the victims. But with fixing the peacock Miraculous, he realized soon enough that he could bring literally any character into the real world, who would also work for his goals. He just needed the right inspiration.

And soon enough the genius and exciting idea turned out to reality, when "My Little Pony" made a movie about the pony chars (having a human counterpart in another universe) and the villains were Sirens, who formed a band called "The Dazzlings" and used their singing to cause disharmony and feed of the negative emotions. They were in every way perfect for his intentions, in his thought at least. They would cause disharmony and negative emotions amongst the citizens and Shadow Moth would have a wider range of victims to akumatize.

And with that it was done. In front of him were standing three girls, resembling greatly the villains the movie had shown, they even had their red crystals where they would collect the negative energy.

"Where are we?", the girl named Adagio with now rather blond but still curly hair asked.

"Dazzlings, I am Shadow Moth and brought you to life into this world. I will allow you to go free and live in Paris, in return you will cause trouble and negative emotions so I can akumatize people and get the Miraculous of Ladybug and Chat Noir!"

The Dazzlings were looking confused at him.

"Are you like half peacock half human?", asked Sonata, the girl with the blue coloured hair in a ponytail.

"No, it's a costume, and an awful one." Aria responded, brushing with her hand through one of her two long purple pigtails.

"Don't be disrespectful to me, I brought you to life and can take it away, now go!" Shadow Moth shouted.

The Dazzlings shrugged and left the room.

Gabriel de-transformed and got back to his designer work, when Nathalie got into his room unannounced.

"Sir, there were three girls who left your room…"

"I know, they are my new sentimonsters."

"Are they in any way based on the Dazzlings?"

"You have a good eye, Nathalie."

"But why?"

"The plan is truly genius. They will cause trouble and negative emotions, which will then give me more people to akumatize."

Nathalie looked at him with her usual cold look before sighing slowly.

"I don't think this is a good idea, honestly. First of all… Hold on, you watch My Little Pony?"

"Yes, Nathalie. Is there something wrong with it?"

"I mean, no, I just didn't expect it, especially from you, Sir."

"Well, I really need to go back to work, so if you excuse me and leave me alone… Soon I will be busy with akumatizations, so I need to do preliminary work."

"As you wish, Sir."

Nathalie reluctantly left the room. This couldn't turn out well…

Marinette always wondered why children were able to watch a movie or a series again and again. It was in some way a blessing, since she didn't have to buy or find new ones if she had to babysit, but when she watched it with them she wanted something different from time to time. So it was a blessing when Hasbro released a new movie and she was able to make Manon watch it. While the child was watching, she could finally finish the long sewing project she had been neglecting for weeks.

She followed the movie half an ear, so she picked up some parts and bits, but mostly it was Manon's reactions to literally anything happening to it. Especially her hatred for the villains of the movie.

"Ugh, look at them being so ugly!"

"Boo, stop singing, you sound awful!"

"You'll never win over friendship!"

Marinette sighed. The loud commentary was distracting, but there wasn't much she could do, so she put on her headphones and listened to her own music. Of course not too loud to still hear Manon.

Another akuma attack. Ladybug arrived at the place as soon as possible and saw Chat Noir, who was already hiding on the roofs. With a jump she landed next to him.

"Hello kitty cat, so, have you already found the akuma?" She asked and looked where he was looking.

"This time it's Rogercop, but I am more concerned about these three…" He said and pointed to three teen girls, who were following him with a distance.

"What's up with them?"

"I don't know, they insist on following the akuma and sometimes sing, and whenever Rogercop turns to them they split up and disappear, before returning later to him."

"Hm, we will be dealing with them later, now we have to fight the akuma."

Shadow Moth was in rage. The Dazzlings were following the akuma and sucking the negative emotions out of it, making it weaker and less determined. He had to even remind the reasons for the akumatizations to Rogercop to keep him angry.

"I told you that it was a bad idea." Nathalie commented. "They are after negative emotions after all and akumas have them intensified."

"No, it's a great plan! They just… need some energy before they can start affecting other people. It's all about the long run."

"Are you just making excuses to not be in the wrong, Sir?"

"... No, you'll see it later. With their help I will soon get the Miraculous of a Ladybug and Chat Noir!"

"If you say so…" Nathalie muttered.

It was already the fifth akuma where the three singing girls appeared. At first Ladybug was worried about them, but soon realized they made the akumas calmer and weaker, which was welcome to her. She didn't even have to call for the temporary superheroes anymore and the battles took a shorter time than usual.

However, the three always runned away from either her or Chat Noir, so they couldn't talk to them. But this time they caught and surrounded them.

"Finally we got you! Now you will explain yourself!" Ladybug said with a threatening look.

The girls looked nervously at each other.

"Hah, do you see it, viewers, the superheroes know the Dazzlings!" Alya appeared suddenly, holding her phone to live stream the conversation.

"Dazzlings?" Ladybug asked.

"How does everyone know our names?" The superhero believed to hear the blond girl mutter.

"You know, the antagonists from the new My Little Pony movie? In there they're evil, but here they help the superheroes defeat the akumas by calming them down!"

"Oh, that's why I seemed to have seen them before." Ladybug commented.

"Dazzlings, how were you able to get such accurate costumes? Are you cosplayers?"

"Ehm, yes, we are… it's our hobby…" The blond one answered with a worried smile.

"How do you play cos?" The blue haired with a ponytail asked.

In response the other two grunted and facepalmed.

"Wow. Not only your singing but also the voices sound the same! You are so talented!"

"Thanks, I guess?" The blonde answered again.

Suddenly her earring and Chat Noir's ring beeped. Only one minute left for them.

"Sorry, we have to go. Ehm, see you soon I think?" Ladybug took leave.

Adrien entered the shop and looked around, searching for the section with DVDs to buy. Today's reveal of the Dazzlings name made him curious. Usually he watches anime, but apparently the franchise MLP wasn't only for kids, and he still didn't fully trust the innocence of the "cosplayers". So, it was only logical to do the "research" with buying the movie Alya was talking about.

As fate wanted to happen, he saw the three Dazzlings also looking through the DVDs for the same movie he searched.

"This must be the one." Adagio, as he found out before after a quick Google search, said and read through the description.

"Ugh, do we really have to buy it? How are we even going to watch it without a TV?" Aria muttered.

"We have to know what we are fully capable of."

"But the villains lose there, and we are the villains, so to speak."

"And by watching it we will know how to prevent ourselves from failing."

"Failing?" Adrien muttered, but apparently way too loud. The Dazzlings turned their heads towards him.

"Yes, failing. Failing in… cosplaying them correctly, you know?" Adagio stuttered nervously.

"I see, you really cosplay them well, I have to say." Adrien said.

"That's because we are…" Sonata said, but got interrupted by a push from an elbow.

"We get that a lot. Anyway, we are kind of busy, so…"

With these words the Dazzlings left Adrien alone.

He had always wished to get to some cosplay conventions, now he knew that the people there would be people cosplaying the characters so well they even acted as them, at least he assumed they were.

The "real" Dazzlings were a hit amongst Paris. As the "best cosplayers", they got much attention and were even invited occasionally to perform the songs of the movie. Those who didn't know them, bought the movie and with that the fandom of MLP grew even more.

However, for Gabriel this went all a little too slow and in the wrong direction. Why were they only feeding off the negative energy from akumas? Why didn't they cause trouble amongst the citizens?

"Sir, you really should consider removing them. They embrace the persona of who they are and use it to their advantage." Natalie suggested.

"No! But why are they like that? They're villains, they should work with me, not against me!"

"Maybe because you give them no reason to actually do what you want them to do?"

Gabriel thought. He got it now, the Sirens just had no motivation for causing troubles. Well, he was gonna give them a reason.

"Well, if they feel like the akumas are enough for getting negative energy, then I will make no akumas until they start doing what I want!"

Natalie just barely stopped herself from face-palming.

For Marinette it was one of the best two weeks after getting the Miraculous. No akumas attacks happened at all, and it was amazing. She managed to finish everything up, stopped getting late to school and even did some free time activities with her friends. She can't wait till Shadow Moth will get defeated to have the same burden-free life again.

She was still doing patrols with Chat Noir, but they were way more fun than running away from everyone because of superhero duties and struggling to fight akumas.

The only thing she found slightly strange were the Dazzlings and their quick rise to popularity, but she put the reason for it on the hype of the new movie. The only one she knew who didn't like them was Manon, who "refused to talk about them", but was always complaining about how everyone liked "the villains" and that "they clearly manipulate the people to like them like in the movie".

But besides that, it was a carefree time for her, until at the end another akuma appeared. Of course, Shadow Moth had to ruin everything…

"Sir, I am really concerned about the development of your new sentimonsters." Nathalie approached her boss.

"What do you mean? They finally do what I wanted them to do from the very beginning!"

"I mean, yes, but they basically started a singing competition and got several fundings for it with many participants."

"So what? It will cause conflicts and jealousy, exactly what I need for akumas."

"But Sir, do you remember how in the movie they used the exact same concept to get more and more negative energy? They have already manipulated the citizens for sure and will take control over the whole city."

"Even better!" Gabriel grinned.

"What do you mean better?"

"Then I will have unlimited amount of negative emotions to akumatize!"

"But Sir…"

"Make our brand as one of the sponsors and clear my schedule so I can be in person at the competition."

Nathalie didn't know what to say in return. At this point she doubted Gabriel knew what he was doing anymore, but she did what she was ordered to do, as a good assistant.

With honestly little interest Marinette went with her friends to the singing competition. It wasn't like she didn't support the Kitty Section, who also participated in it, but she was so done with the hype of the "real" Dazzlings. Everyone adored and talked about them way too much, even Alya made an extra section in the Ladyblog about them. At this point she even refused to finish seeing the movie out of spite.

But she didn't have much choice, so she joined the spectators to watch the different bands perform.

Except she barely could.

Almost constantly different kinds of participants got akumatized, always related in some way about the competition. She had never seen so many akumas in months like on this day alone. Luckily they were always kind of weak and not too dangerous, but it was really tiring.

So after the ninth akuma in 3 hours, she just laid down on the ground, trying to get at least some rest. Her partner did the same.

"Ladybug, can I talk to you?"

"Yes… although I wish to just get some rest."

"Me too. What do you think about the Dazz…"

"I swear, if you mention their name one more time, I will hit you! Everyone talks about them! I am tired of them being like the only topic!"

"That's what I meant, M'Lady. I first thought they were just some girls cosplaying, but now I think that they really are… them…"

Ladybug raised her head and gave a confused look to him.

"What do you mean?"

"Like, first of all, their singing calms down akumas…"

"Yeah, yeah, I have heard all kinds of theories. Apparently any calm music makes the akumas weaker, Alya did some experiments."

"Well, yes, but not as much as specifically their singing. Also them now making a singing competition? They literally do the same as in the movie. And watch how the participants act, they all start hating each other and being too competitive."

"So you want to say that…"

"That they are… somehow… not cosplayers, but really the Dazzlings from the movie, with all that magic they have connected."

"But how?"

"I don't know, maybe they are sentimonsters?" Chat Noir asked.

They both looked at each other silently, before bursting out in laughter.

"As if Shadow Moth watches My Little Pony!" Ladybug laughed.

"Yeah, sorry, this was kind of stupid to suggest from me. I guess people just saw the movie and subconsciously act like that."

"Yeah, that seems more correct. I just wish it wouldn't result in more akumas."

"Me too."

As if the universe wanted to make fun of them, a loud bang was heard with an evil laughter. Today will be a long day…

Gabriel couldn't be more satisfied. The plan did work out perfectly as intented, the Dazzlings stared up trouble and it resulted in an almost non stop supply for new akumas. Of course the akumas still got weaker, since the girls just refused to not take the negative emotions out of them, but he could see how more and more tired the superheroes got. He just needed to get one akuma without the girls weakening them.

And so he decided to face the Dazzlings personally.

As being one of the big sponsors, he could get easily access to the backstage.

"Well, see who we got there." Adagio said and ordered the remaining people in the room to leave. Sonata sighed and wanted to leave too, but got hold back by Aria.

"So, what does our little butterfly man want from us?"

"For you it's Mr Agreste. Dazzlings, you did an excellent job, the negative emotions are almost like filling the air and I get a huge supply for new akumas. However, I will have to order you to stop taking the energy out of the akumas."

"Order? Who are you to order us?" Adagio asked.

"I am your creator, I brought you to live and I can take it away."

"Oh, really? And with what?"

"With this!" Gabriel showed them the peacock Miraculous.

"Didn't the Ladyblog reporter said something about objects amoks need to have to possess?" Adagio asked, acting unknowingly.

"I have that too, this pen here in my vest."

"A pen? Really?"

"It was available at the time of your creating. Anyway, with this pen I can control you and with the peacock Miraculous I can take away your life. So, do we understand each other?"

"Sure, Mr Agreste." Adagio answered, grinning widely.

Gabriel raised an eyebrow, trying to get what she was thinking.

"If you excuse us now, we have soon our performance and need to get ready."

"Sure."

With that Gabriel left the room. He could feel close the victory against the superheroes, all it would take was another akuma…

After the constant akuma attacks the organizers decided to postpone the competition to the next day. It was asked that the participants should "get it together", which was kind of silly to ask, considering one organizer got akumatized because everyone was getting akumatized.

Nonetheless, Gabriel left his seat and searched for his assistent Nathalie, who was interestingly not around him. Later on he found her talking with the Dazzlings, although it was more like the girls singing around her while she was listening to them silently. As soon as he approached them, the girls stopped and left them alone. He noticed their wide smiles they gave each other, but he shrugged it off.

"Nathalie, why were you leaving me alone?" He asked her.

"I'm sorry, Sir, but I was searching for Adrien. He was barely seen today."

Her voice was way colder and emotionless than usual. Probably tired from the busy day.

"Tell him that tomorrow he should let go of his childish behaviour. As for me I need a rest after all my 'work' today."

"As you wish, Sir."

Suddenly she took his tie and fumbled with is, then she took his vest and stroke it slightly.

"Nathalie, my clothes are fine, no need to straighten them."

"Sorry, Sir. If you excuse me, I need to go to the toilet."

Without waiting for an answer she turned around and left him alone again. Ugh, what should he do now, amongst other people?

"Seriously, you take the blame on me? You were the one who got akumatized!" Rose shouted at Juleka.

"Because I was worried that you would get hurt by them! Why did you even get provoked by this band? Because of this Ivan got hurt trying to defend you!"

"She's right, Rose. It's never a good idea to mess with others, especially when they look like this." Ivan added.

"Oh, come on, as if you don't look like them!"

"At least I don't want to hurt others, unlike them!"

"Could you finally stop this nonsense? We all have lost our harmony long ago and with arguing we won't restore it!" Luka yelled.

"Oh, you shut up with the harmony, I won't allow my friends to be made fun of!" Rose cried.

With huge worries Marinette watched the band arguing with each other. She wanted to interfere and somehow stop it, but no matter how much she tried to say something she got shoved off.

"I have never seen them like that before."

She turned to the voice to see Adrien, who stood next to her watching the scene too.

"Me neither. This competition got way too much into their heads."

"Looks like it."

On a closer look Marinette noticed how tired he looked.

"Are you okay?" She asked him, and then suddenly gasped.

Did she just have a normal conversation with him?

"Yes, just exhausted."

"Me too."

Maybe the lack of stuttering was her also being exhausted, but from the superhero duties.

"And another angry group. Oh, what a tragedy." Marinette heard someone say. When she turned her head she saw the Dazzlings approaching the Kitty Section band with a huge grin and a look that only predators have.

"Ugh, not these three…" Marinette muttered, but apparently too loud. The girls looked at her with a curious expression, before approaching her.

"Do we have haters here?" Adagio asked with a sarcastic voice.

"I don't care about you, just tired of the hype." Marinette answered slightly annoyed.

"Oh, interesting." The girl spoke slowly, intensely eyeing first her then Adrien. "My eyes are up here."

"What? Oh, no, I was looking at the jewel." Adrien stuttered.

"Yeah?"

"Well, I don't recall that the Dazzlings had a jewel like that on their costumes."

"So what? Aren't we now not allowed to wear anything else?"

"Of course not…"

"I told you it would fit better on me." Aria said smugginly, looking at her nails.

"It's just weird that you do the cosplaying thing so well for the whole time." Adrien added.

"It's what the audience wants, richy boy. They want us to sing, we will sing for them."

"Aren't we making them want us…" Sonata said, but got interrupted by a hit from Aria.

"Point being, the city is in rage for us, so we use the opportunity given." Adagio explained. "It's kind of fun pretending to be another person."

"Except for Sonata. She has the right mental ability." Aria commented with a superior grin.

"Hey, I know what you mean by that!"

"Ugh, seriously, now you too? Does everyone here beg to be akumatized?" Marinette sighed loudly.

"Oh, don't worry about us, girl, worry about yourself." Adagio said slightly threateningly, before the Dazzlings left Marinette while passing slowly the Kitty Section members, the crystals on their necklaces glowing ominously.

"Nathalie, where is my peacock Miraculous?" Gabriel asked Nathalie.

"What do you mean, Sir?"

"It isn't on me, Nathalie."

"Did you left it somewhere?"

"No, I wore it at the singing competition and even showed it to the Dazzlings."

"You what?" Nathalie asked unbelievably.

"I explained to them that with it I can take their life if they don't follow my wishes."

"Couldn't you just have used the amok object to control them?"

"I explained that to them too."

Nathalie's eyes were suddenly wide open.

"Do you still have the pen?"

"Well, yes, it's right here in my…"

As soon as Gabriel tried to grab the pen in his vest, he noticed how the pocket it was in was empty.

"Sir?"

"They took it, they somehow took it from me…" He stuttered.

"How?"

"I don't know! I have to get it back!"

With these words Gabriel ran away towards the picture of his wife and pressed the buttons.

The day had been already exhausting enough, but apparently Shadow Moth decided it wasn't enough for the evening. Out of everyone Jagged Stone got akumatized and turned into Guitar Villain. Great, another music akuma.

The long day was visible on the superheroes, they barely were able to coordinate their movements and struggled to fight him. The city had installed some akuma measures and were playing calm music, but Guitar Villain overturned it with his own music, so the tired superheroes were basically fighting an akuma at full strength.

Interestingly the akuma had been focusing on getting to the place where the singing competition had been held and, once arrived, was searching for something.

Within a short time it apparently found it and was flying away towards Le Grand Paris.

"I am so tired…" Ladybug muttered.

"Me too…"

"No puns for today, kitty cat?"

Chat Noir sighed. She could understand him, after today the only thing she wanted was to get to bed and fall asleep.

"Let's go, the quicker we win the better." Chat Noir said.

Finding where Jagged Stone was was easy, considering his dragon flew before a broken window.

Once the superhero entered the room they saw Jagged Stone talking to the Dazzlings. Did everything revolve around them now?

"We have no idea what you are talking about, Guitar Villain." Adagio said, seemingly answering a question.

"Listen, girls, Hawk Moth wants me to get his belongings back, so I will get it back. Rockin' Riff, Baby!"

With these words he played his guitar and a purple wave emerged. Chat Noir could get right in time to block it with his staff.

"Get out of here!" He ordered them.

Suddenly Guitar Villain runned straight at him and tried to run him over, but Ladybug could catch his guitar with her yo-yo and hold him in place.

"Awesome Solo!" The akuma shouted and turned his orange wave towards her, forcing her to let the guitar go and shield the attack with her yo-yo.

"Cataclysm!" Chat Noir shouted and used the distraction to try to destroy his guitar, but unlucky enough he tripped over something on the ground and touched the ground, making everyone in this room collapse to the room under them.

Ladybug could land safely and saw Guitar Villain struggling to get up. Using the opportunity, she ran to him and with a kick tried to break the guitar, but Chat Noir apparently had the same idea and ran into her, making them both fall to the ground on each other.

"What are you doing?" She shouted.

"No, what are you doing? You got in my way!"

"No, you got in my way!"

The little argument gave Guitar Villain enough time to stand up and shoot at them an orange wave, which made the superheroes fly towards the wall.

"Ugh, Lucky Charm!" Ladybug yelled.

The object she got was a… birthday cake?

"Seriously?" Chat Noir asked, without making an annoying joke.

She looked around, trying to figure out what to do with it.

"Distract him!" She ordered, and the black hero jumped back into the fight.

Ladybug slowly approached the akuma, trying to get the right opportunity.

Once Guitar Villain shot an orange wave, she threw the cake into his face. Chat Noir immediately used the moment and destroyed his guitar, releasing the akuma.

After purifying and fixing the damage done by the akuma, the superheroes fell to the ground, gasping for air.

They were done for today.

"Stop singing!" Chat Noir shouted to the Dazzlings, who for some  reason stayed in the room.

"We calm ourselves like that." Adagio responded.

"And we are tired! Chat Noir, what even was that from you?" Ladybug yelled.

"I tripped! Sorry, but fighting for hours against 14 akumas is too much!"

"Yeah, and if you would for once think before running towards akumas we would have won earlier!"

"Me? You were the one running towards him and got in my way!"

"Oh, is it my fault? You should have seen me already running towards him!"

"Oh, right, Chat Noir has always to see and follow what Ladybug does because he never comes up with good ideas. I get it!"

"You're right! Everything you ever come up with is running into akumas and getting hit!"

"Because if you get hit we will lose, how else can you purify the akuma?"

"Maybe by not getting hit by them?"

Suddenly they heard the Dazzlings stop singing and took a deep breath. When they turned to them, they saw the crystals glowing red and the girls grinning widely.

"Oh, how powerful you two are." Adagio laughed. "It took us so long to break you two, being protected by the Miraculous you wear."

With a shock Ladybug saw the Dazzlings starting to float and their crystals started to glow even brighter, before the red light consumed them. When the light dimmed, she saw them having butterfly-like wings on their backs and pony ears on top of their head.

"Oh no… They are really them…" Chat Noir muttered.

"Do you know what that means?" She asked him worryingly.

They looked at each other, before saying in union.

"Shadow Moth watches My Little Pony!"

"Seriously?" Adagio asked. "That's all that matters to you?"

"Honestly that explains so much, the arguing of everyone, the sudden rise of akumas…" Chat Noir muttered.

"You're right, or even the calming of akumas." Ladybug added.

"Were they really that dense?" Aria asked.

"But seriously, Shadow Moth, and My Little Pony? That's impossible!"

"Hello? Sirens, transformed to their true form, being in their highest power?" Adagio called, trying to get their attention.

A ringing from the Miraculous reminded the superheroes that they would soon de-transform, so they stood up and ran away wordlessly, leaving the Dazzlings confused in the room.

"So… are they just gonna ignore us?" Sonata asked Adagio.

"Just forget about them, if they don't care it's better for us. Time to get the whole city under our control!"

"Sir, we have a problem." Nathalie said to Hawk Moth.

"Shut up, I'm trying to find the right victim for an akuma. I must get my Miraculous back!"

"But Sir, the Sirens transformed."

"They what?"

"They transformed, they got wings and are now floating and singing over Paris."

"They got wings? Why?"

Unbelievably Nathalie stared at him.

"Did you finish watching the movie about them?" She asked.

"No, I was too tired on that day, got to the point where Trixie was performing."

Nathalie facepalmed.

"Sir, at the end of the movie the Sirens got their true forms and were about to enslave the world."

Wordlessly Gabriel stared at her.

"We're doomed." She sighed.

"How were they defeated?"

"By the power of friendship and the Rainbooms performing a song."

"So you suggest that we both should sing…?"

"Don't even think about it."

"You're right. Wait… I got it! I got the right person to akumatize!"

"But Sir, the Sirens…"

"Trust me, she will be perfect to defeat them."

Quickly Ladybug ran out of the hotel and into an alley to de-transform.

"Quickly, eat." She said while offering her a cookie.

"Do you think you will be able to handle it? After all these akumas…"

"I have no other choice. Ugh, if I only had watched the movie, then I would have seen the similarities and saw that they were sentimonsters!"

"Don't blame yourself, Marinette. Everyone else got fooled by them. They were really genius, playing as big fans of the characters in the movie."

"Or everyone else in denial…" She muttered.

Suddenly she heard the now way too familiar singing voices coming nearer towards her.

"Are they singing a lullaby?" Marinette asked, before she yawned.

"Marinette! Don't fall asleep, that's what they want! They know you and Chat Noir are tired!"

"But, it's so beautiful, and hypnotizing…"

"Marinette, please!"

"Just a quick nap."

"Marinette!"

"Wake me up once you're done eating…"

"I have to say, for someone like you the idea of making the superheroes fall asleep was actually good." Aria complemented.

"Thank you!" Sonata cheered.

"But you're still the worst."

Adagio sighed.

"Just stop this already. We're going… I mean, we're flying now to our little butterfly friend."

"Why?" Sonata asked.

"Just paying a visit. You saw it with Guitar Villain, he's still eager to get the little jewel back from us."

"He was so stupid explaining and showing everything, like if he forgot we can mind control people into doing things." Aria commented.

"Not him because of his other butterfly thing. But our voices are now so strong even the Miraculous magic can't hold against it, so once he hears us, nothing will stop us now!"

With these words the sirens flew slowly towards the Agreste Mansion, while they sang on their way. However, they didn't have to reach it, since they saw a familiar figure waiting on a roof for them.

"Welcome to the show, Hawk Moth!" Adagio laughed. "Do you like our new look?"

"Give me back my Peacock Miraculous!"

"Why? Are you afraid we will turn into Dazz-co… I mean Pea-zzli… You know what I mean, we'll come up with a name later."

"The Peacocks!" Sonata called excitedly.

"What a stupid uncreative name, Sonata." Aria responded.

"You will never turn into whatever you'll name yourself because I will get it from you and remove you from this world!" Hawk Moth shouted.

"And how exactly are you going to do it, butterfly man? Sing us a song about friendship?" Adagio laughed.

"Summon a unicorn shooting a rainbow at us?" Aria added  laughing too.

"Make the Rainbooms?" Sonata said smugginly, then gasped. "He can't, right?" She asked.

"No, not without the Peacock Miraculous." Aria sighed out of annoyance.

"Ha, then you're doomed!" Sonata cheered.

"No, I even have something better." Hawk Moth said with a superior smile.

"What? Love? A Friend?" Adagio asked, sarcastically acting in shock.

"No, watch." He said and raised his cane to show behind him.

"Behold, the great and powerful Ma-Trrrrixie!" A voice was suddenly heard and a girl with a blue dress, white hair and a magicians hat and cape jumped into the light.

The Dazzlings looked confused at the new person standing with two arms raised as if they were applauded by an audience.

"Is anyone taking us seriously? Trixie? Trixie?! Trixie out of all?!" Aria yelled.

"But she is the greatest and most powerfullest! If anyone then…" Sonata said, but got interrupted.

"She is a joke character, Sonata! A joke!" Aria yelled.

"Oh… now it makes sense."

"Stop arguing girls, just sing to this ridiculous butterfly man." Adagio facepalmed.

Immediately the girls began to sing and the iris of Hawk Moth became smaller. He was already under control!

However, the akumatized girl yelled boo sounds to them and made fun of their voices. How? How was she able to not get affected by their voices?

"You sound awful! Boo! The Rainbooms are way better!" Ma-Trixie shouted.

"Shut up! If you can't be controlled, then we will beat you with our fists!" Aria yelled back and moved towards her.

"The great and powerful Ma-Trrrixie won't be beaten by three ear-scratching singers!" The girl said loudly and threw something to the ground. Immediately smoke filled the air and the Dazzlings coughed and tried to wave the smoke away.

"My gem! Where is my gem?!" Aria yelled in shock, who now has turned back into her human form.

"The great and powerful Ma-Trrrixie won't reveal her secrets!" The Dazzlings heard the akuma say behind a chimney next to them.

"Give that back, you little pest!" Aria shouted and ran towards her, when suddenly the girl jumped towards her, landed with her feet on her face and jumped again towards the other Dazzlings, throwing a smoke bomb again to the ground.

Adagio immediately took off and flew upwards, escaping the smoke. When the view was cleared, she saw how now Sonata has also lost her gem.

"You idiots!" She muttered and searched for the Trixie wannabe. She saw her hat behind another chimney. With a victorious smile she flew with her feet first towards the head and knocked her off.

"Ha, now you're beaten!" She exclaimed, but then stopped as she stared at a scarecrow that she had kicked the head out.

"Surprise!" She heard behind her as after a bang smoke filled around her and she began to cough. Immediately she tried to grab her gem to prevent it from being taken, but it was already gone.

"No!" She cried. "How? This is impossible!"

"Nothing is impossible for the greatest and most powerfullest Ma-Trrrixie!" The girl shouted and bowed towards an invincible audience, holding the three gems in her hands.

With a growl Adagio ran towards her, but got stopped by Hawk Moth grabbing her at her neck and ripping the Peacock Miraculous off. Not long afterwards, a snap made the three Sirens disappear.

When Marinette finally woke up and searched for the three Dazzlings, she didn't expect to get a magician akuma in her way, which Chat Noir recognized as another character from the movie. She was tricky, pun intended, as she always disappeared in smoke bombs and got away without being seen, but with a Lucky Charm giving the superheroes a smoke bomb on their own the akuma was defeated. The girl turned out to be Manon, who Ladybug brought back home.

The whole night they searched for any sights of the Dazzlings, but it was as if they had disappeared into nothingness.

"Maybe Shadow Moth saw them now as a threat and removed them?" Chat Noir suggested, which Ladybug had to agree.

They searched for a little bit more, just to be safe, but then went home and got a long well-deserved sleep. How lucky that it was a weekend.

With the Dazzlings gone the singing competition got less competitive and much friendlier, at least the bands were between each other. The Kitty Section got third place, which was an excellent result for the band members in comparison to the other participants.

Meanwhile Paris was first in huge confusion and fear as to where the beloved Dazzlings suddenly went missing, but with Ladybug and Chat Noir explaining that they were sentimonsters created by Shadow Moth, the sudden realization of how obvious the girls were literally the characters from the movies hit them.

Alya deleted all the posts and extra sections about the Dazzlings from the Ladyblog, all posters around the city about the sirens were torn away and no one wanted to hear any of their songs or even watch the movie anymore, hoping to not be reminded of the mind control they went under.

For Marinette it was finally peaceful, at least the conversations with her classmates. She didn't have to listen to them talking about the Dazzlings anymore and none of their songs were blasted or sung by anyone non stop. True, the akumas got their old strength again and the calm music barely helped now, but at least there weren't 10 akumas in a day anymore.

The only thing that didn't got better was Manon, who was way more than happy about the Dazzlings gone and, as to annoy Marinette, started to speak about herself in third person and tried to show how "great and powerful" she was with her magic show, where to make it worse nothing worked as it should. Only thing worse was her constantly singing a song "Trixie" from the same movie as the Dazzlings apparently performed.

Shadow Moth thought intensely. He got the lesson, no magical girls or beings he can't really control. Also them not being villains was also a requirement now, as they clearly back stabbed.

When the right character came to his mind, he laughed evilly and soon made a tall person come to life.

When he sent it away and got to his office, Nathalie starred at him with wide eyes.

"Sir, this isn't who I thought it was, was it?" She asked, her voice trembling.

"This is another attempt at a sentimonster, yes. This time there is no magic involved, so it won't backfire on me."

"But Sir…" She stuttered, then went silent while thinking for a long time. Suddenly she turned around and walked out of the room.

"Nathalie? What are you doing?"

"I'm leaving."

"Why?"

"I don't want to get to prison."

"Why would you get to prison?" He asked surprisingly.

Suddenly the window in the room shattered to pieces and the sentimonster landed in the room. It stared at Gabriel, before jumping towards him and knocking him out with a single punch. Nathalie watched in fear as it took the two Miraculous from him and then stared at her.

"There is no escape for me, right? You already got all the proof?" She asked. The sentimonster nodded.

"Ugh, what happened?" Gabriel woke up.

"I took both your Miraculous and will bring them to Marinette Dupain-Cheng, the Guardian and superhero of Paris." It spoke.

Both Gabriel and Nathalie gasped in shock. Marinette, Adrien's classmate, was Ladybug?

"Also your son is Chat Noir."

Gabriel's eyes and mouth opened even more. His own son, his arch nemesis?

"But… How did you find this all out in less than five minutes? How did you get out of my control even though I have the amok object?" Gabriel asked.

The person stood up and watched him deep in his eyes.

"Because I'm Batman."
