Work Text:
It has been a while since he was going down memory lane.
Though it always happens, when there was nothing to do and just let his mind wander. He was laying on his bed, just woken up and in his night gown, staring at the ceiling above. It was a Sunday which meant the shop was closed and the morning was slow going. Still, he found himself awake and just musing over random thoughts.
Like his past.
Doppo wasn’t one to dwell on it, what happened, happened. The pain will never fully go away but he was getting better with time on his side, and the support he has gained. Still, he couldn’t help how the mind can be at times.
He thought about a lot of things, his past, the present and himself. That included his gender.
This was something that he was still getting to terms with, his gender identity. When he was healing those years ago, he can barely walk much less go outside so he had an old computer to kill time besides the tv. He had to thank Sensei for that one. He was mindlessly scrolling when he came upon certain articles that slowly changed his life.
He didn’t mind being called a he but as it turned out, he didn’t mind being called a she or they on certain days. He had wondered why was that. But the more he looked into it, the more he was comfortable with the term that came with it.
He never felt uncomfortable in his body but he wasn’t happy with just being a guy, some days, he wanted to be a girl or maybe presenting either or neither. He knew his experience is different but he supposed he’s trying to figure it out even now.
He was happy with who he was, all of it.
Smiling, he….no, she moved up from the bed. Yeah, the feminine urge to start the Sunday right. Yawning, she placed her hand on her chest, feeling good. She may not be running the shop that day but that didn’t mean she couldn’t visit the agency. Maybe surprise them with sweets~
She couldn’t repay fully the help they have done for her.
“Now then,” She turned her head to the closet. “What should I wear today?”
