Summary
The experience of nearly freezing to death while being held hostage in Garlemald brought the twins closer together. When they later return to Camp Broken Glass to help in the restoration efforts and discover they'll have to share a room, Alphinaud assumes it will be annoying but bearable. He didn't expect that Alisaie would hate the cold so much she'd demand that they sleep in the same bed to share warmth; it wouldn't be a problem except that the final stages of puberty are beginning to make their effects known.
Then the growth truly strikes them both, and they learn that all the dire warnings and lewd stories of the effects of a rapidly maturing libido are true. Suddenly, being forced into close quarters with absolutely no privacy is an incredibly difficult experience, and Alphinaud despairs for his sanity. At least sharing the misery of the experience will likely make the twins grow closer still. However, there is such a thing as too close, and he has no idea what to do about it.
