We fell in love in the summer

Summary:

HoloMyth meets up after a long time working together behind the screens. Gawr Gura, the girl who was in love with Amelia Watson, is surprised and at the same time pleased by this news, because she had long been thinking of confessing to the blonde. But she is afraid of the thoughts that this love is not mutual, so she sets herself the goal of finally confessing to Amelia by the end of the week. A whole week, a whole week to prepare her confession. A week that is full of embarrassment, love and rubbish. A week that can change not only Gura's life, but also change the lives of others. Will the girl be able to gather all her strength and finally say those cherished words? It is possible that Amelia herself does not try to hide the fact that she was in love with the white-haired one.

【I don't know how to write a summary, so forgive me if there is something unclear here. Just start reading this story, which will be updated every day(or month, haha).】

Notes:

I was inspired by a lot of fanfiction that is similar to this one. As for updating the chapters... Probably will be updated every day until my vocabulary runs out. It was planned for seven chapters (seven weeks), but now it's questionable, because I don't know how much I'll get in this ff. In any case, all that remains for you is to wait for the new chapters to come out, and I will strain my fingers and brain to write this.

And yes. Recently there was an anniversary on my account in ao3, 30 works! Thanks to all those who were with me from the beginning to the very end and are still with me. Thanks also to those who have just started reading me or just browsing a few of my works. Chapter 1: Meeting after a long separation

Chapter Text

Chapter one - Meeting after a long separation.

***

HoloMyth has been living together in the same house for a long time. Each of the girls was delighted with their meeting, but Gura must have been in a very wonderful mood when she heard the news of their move. And all because there will be Amelia Watson, the love of her life, best friend, and of course the number one detective in Hololive English. This love began about before they hit the screens. They were inseparable even before their entry into Hololive. Friends always supported each other, helped with every problem, and just had fun in voice chat on discord. But Gura could not tell her live, touch her, hug her, at best, kiss her. And on this wonderful day, her desires will come true, and she will finally see her love. Perhaps she is not mutual, because Gura does not know if Amelia loves her or not.

Now Gura is sitting on the plane. She watches the clouds over which she flies, the birds that fly either to the south or to the north. Ina is sitting next to her, but she is busy with her own. They decided to get together, because they lived not far from each other and go to the others together. Gura turns his attention to Ina. She listens to music with her eyes closed and hums along to the song. She turns back to the window. Boring. The pilot announces that in ten minutes they will be landing, so he asked to fasten their seat belts. Everyone complied with his request and continued to go about their business. Gura sighs, she wants to meet Amelia as soon as possible. Ten minutes and she'll finally get her way. It remains only to be patient and do something. Gura closes her eyes as a flight attendant walks past them, checking for seat belts. It seems to her that she will fall asleep now, which of course happens to her in less than a few minutes.

She snaps her eyes open when she hears the pilot announcing landing. Ina doesn't listen to music anymore either, she grabs her bag, getting up from her seat and extends her hand to help Gura out. They barely make it through the crowd of hurrying people and exit the plane. They flew one night and half a day, so it's only about two hours now. They unpack their luggage and go to the airport to meet their friends there. Anyway, they got here faster than Ina and Gura, because they had a little problem with tickets. There he is. Get into the future. The future is with Amelia, in the words of Gura. They go inside, where it is cool because of the air conditioners, just right after the heat outside. They stop to look around the room in the presence of their friends.

"Hey! We are here!"

They turn to a very familiar high pitched voice, none other than Kiara Takanashi. She waves it from the second floor, and behind her is Calliope Mori, who is talking to Amelia. Gura immediately grabs Inu by the arm and runs towards the stairs. The purple hair laughs at Gura's reaction when she saw Amelia, because she knows her desires to meet her. Ina is trying to follow Gura's run so as not to fall on the stairs, but it is difficult for her, because the girl really wants to see her friend.

Finally, they are all on the second floor. They hug, and when it's Gura and Amelia's turn to hug, the first girl gets a little nervous. Amelia notices this and smiles, opening her arms. This became a sign that Gura might embrace her. She runs up to the blonde, falling into her arms, Amelia laughing as they almost fall. Gura buries her nose into the crook of the blue-eyed neck, inhaling the scent of lemons, which she has wanted to feel for two long years. Amelia strokes the petite girl's back, still smiling, but now on the top of her white head. As Calli, Kiara, and Ina discuss plans for the day, Gura holds Amelia tighter.

"We finally met..." Gura speaks in a muffled voice into the collar of the detective's shirt, yielding to a pat on the head.

"Yes, so many years have passed." Amelia answers, pulling back to kiss Gura on the forehead, her cheeks blushing at the gesture. "You will make up for our lost days that we spent only in discord."

They remain in this position for a few more minutes. None of them move, each thinks of one thing. Amelia runs her hand along Gura's back under her jacket, and she can only calmly inhale the aroma of lemon. They do not pay attention to extraneous noises of people passing by, to their other friends who are discussing their own.

"Hey lovebirds!" They are snapped out of their thoughts by Kiara, who has noticed a couple embracing behind them.

The way Kiara called them makes both girls blush, Amelia mutters something under her breath as she pulls away from Gura. She goes to Calli, who showed her to her to discuss details that only the two of them understand. Gura approaches Ina and Kiara, listening to their phrases about their relationship with Amelia for several minutes, and then about their future plans. They chose to rest at a nearby hotel, and only then go to Amelia's mansion on the outskirts of the city, which she lent them(Amelia will not live with them, but only come, in fact, she will be working in the city all day). True, Gura was not at all happy about this news, because she thought that she would receive more hugs.

A few hours after the walk, they finally arrived at the hotel. They distributed the rooms as follows: Ina will be in a separate room, Calli with Kiara and Amelia with Gura. At least this news pleased Gura, although she knew that Ina and Kiara had specially put her together with Amelia. After splitting into rooms, they began to unpack things. Gura was not surprised when she noticed that the blonde had an almost empty suitcase. She lives here, so she doesn't need many things.

The night has come. Ina went to bed a long time ago, hoping that tomorrow would not be a shaft. Kiara and Calli went to the hotel bar, while Amelia and Gura just sat in the living room and watched a movie. It was a horror movie, a very scary horror movie, but Gura thought so. Amelia at that moment looked with delight and pleasure at the scenes that had the character of a mental disorder. Apparently, with her work, this was the norm, in any way she sees the same dismembered corpses every day, before she has time to go to work, the corpse is lying in front of her. And again the scene of entertainment. Gura shudders, almost clinging to Amelia, who looks at her uneasily, asking with a mute question if everything is fine.

"It's okay, Ame, it's just that he cut his head off so unexpectedly!" Tries to dissuade Gur to hide the fact that she was really scared by it.

Amelia looks at her a second time before performing an act that nearly makes Gura's jaw drop. Or rather, Amelia grabbed the girl by the hips, seating between her legs so that Gura leaned on her chest. Then she grabbed the edge of the veil, covering them, and then slipped her hands under the veil to wrap them around Gura's waist. Without saying anything, she rests her head on her thin shoulder and continues watching the movie.

"A-and what is it for?" Gura asks, trying to calm her trembling in her voice from the fact that she could practically feel her cold hands under her not very thick sweater.

"You will have someone to hug if you get scared again." She mumbles, pinching Gura's thigh. "But I don't want it to be a pillow next to you, so I offered my candidacy. Well, at best, we can turn off the movie and go to bed. What will you choose?"

"I think the latter, because I'm tired to the point of pain in my back after this plane flight!" Gura said and stood up from the couch, making Amelia unprepared.

In fact, she lied. Gura did not want to sit like this with Amelia until the end of the film, because she was too nervous at such closeness. Walking into the room, she left the blonde confused. Turning off the TV, Amelia stood up from the couch, stretching her muscles. She did not expect herself to do this to Gura, but some points in her brain wanted to do it. Although she can't deny the fact that if she sat there hugging a girl like that, she would get up and leave because it's so embarrassing. Collecting her thoughts, she went to their common room. Entering the room, she saw that Gura was already asleep, so she quietly went to the bed and lay down on the other side. Turning to the white-haired woman who lay with her back to her, she briefly held her gaze before sighing and turning her face to the wall.

Gura at that time was lying with half-open eyes when the blonde entered the room. She felt her eyes on her when she lay down on the bed and heard this sigh, she looked like disappointment. When she heard the delicate breathing of the girl opposite, she turned to her. Her heart was telling her to hug the blonde just to make her sleep more comfortable because the bed was small, but her brain told her otherwise. Still, she listened to the brain's suggestion, because she didn't want Amelia to wake up and see them in this position, or her friends who could easily enter the room. After resisting the urge to hug the girl, Gura rolled over on her side, closing her eyes to try to sleep. After lying like that for a few minutes, she still managed to fall asleep, falling into a dream.

The next day, they accepted the option of taking a bus to the end of town, which would only take an hour. After collecting their things and giving the keys to the rooms in the hotel, they went outside. They did not wait long for the bus, only ten minutes. Sitting in it, they were divided into places. Gura was put back together with Amelia, which made her either happy or upset. She sat down near the window to divert her gaze from the girl to the view of the road and the forest by which they were driving. Amelia was flipping through something on her phone, sometimes cursing under her breath, but Gura heard it perfectly. Her thoughts were not about Gura, definitely not about her, because she does not want to think about this girl, she already made her embarrassed when she just sat down next to her. While foxing her Twitter feed, she noticed out of the corner of her eye that Gura had fallen asleep, but did not betray this and continued her work. After a few minutes, she felt someone's head fall on her shoulder and it turned out to be Gura, who was spinning in her sleep. Amelia froze, unable to move as the heat in her face began to rise slowly, as if time had slowed down. Gradually, she began to get used to it, and then put the phone aside and leaned on the top of her white head. She heard Kiara's exclamations, but did not look at her with her frown, she just closed her eyes so as not to think about the orange-haired one.

It's been a long road. When the driver announced that they were coming to the last stop, Amelia woke up and started waking up Gura, who was apparently unaffected by the news. Then I tried again, but still no success. Only one thing appeared in her head. She leaned towards Gura's ear.

"We've arrived, get up Gura..." She whispered into the petite girl's ear, and as if by magic, Gura abruptly stood up with wide eyes looking at Amelia, who giggled at such a reaction.

"We arrived? So fast?" As if not understanding anything, Gura says, receiving a smile from the blonde in response. "I must have fallen asleep while looking at the road..."

"Yes. And my shoulder went numb when you laid your head on it, but I think you were comfortable." Amelia answered, after whose words Gura blushed and looked more surprised at the detective.

"I what?!" Gura said, throwing her eyes to the sides. She could feel some kind of support under her cheek, but she didn't exactly think it was Ame. "I'm sorry if I disturbed you!"

"It's okay, I also had time to take a nap." Amelia said smilingly, holding out her hand to the girl. "Come on, they're waiting for us outside."

Gura looked at the outstretched hand, not knowing what to do. Her brains sounded like gears were turning. Then she looked at Amelia, who continued to smile, and it made her accept the outstretched hand. Amelia took her bag and led the girl off the bus. Their friends were standing outside Amelia's mansion, looking at it. It was large, like a medieval castle. Bushes grew around him, and white tiles along the fence and to the entrance to the mansion.

"And that's all we have for the week?!" Kiara said delightedly, walking towards the fence with her friends. Amelia nodded at her words as she pulled her keys out of her pocket.

"Yes. Everything in this house and beyond is in your hands. You can distribute the rooms as you like, even take my room, although I think it will be too simple, unlike the others." Amelia said as she opened the door and stepped away from it so her friends would go through first. "If you have any problems just give me a call and I will help you."

"You've done too much for us, Ame!" Kiara said, to which Amelia smiled.

"I just love my friends, that's all." She said. "I think the kitchen and everything else you can find. I need to go back to my department to sort out some little things. Have a nice day, ladies."

She said goodbye to them before leaving. The roar of an engine was heard outside, and through the window one could see Amelia leaving the yard. The girls began to look around. Everything was almost like outside. The atmosphere of the Middle Ages became larger, it became cozy and pleasant. Everything smelled of new wood, although the house looks old and not well maintained. Kiara went off to find the kitchen because she was hungry, Ina and Gura went up to the second floor to walk around the mansion, and Calli just lay down on the sofa to take a nap. Inspecting the corridor, Ina and Gura noticed many paintings related to Amelia's family. In the photographs, she was small, and with each picture she grew, as if it were a developmental scheme. Amelia has two brothers, younger and older, they are very similar to her. Amelia's parents appear in almost all the photos, this is a happy family with smiles on their faces. They got to the last picture, which was Amelia and the face of her younger brother, who probably photographed her. The blonde was sitting on an armchair reading a newspaper and drinking tea, her eyes peeking out from under the cup directed at her brother, and her left eyebrow was arched.

"Like she didn't know she was being photographed." Ina said an assumption, examining the picture. "And I guess she loves her brother too much if there's no picture of her chasing him."

"Yes... She's wonderful..." Gura whispered, apparently ignoring Ina's words, who smirked as she realized why the girl hadn't brought up her subject.

"You know, since you love Amelia, you should confess to her." Ina said as she stood next to Gura and crossed her arms behind her back. She looks at the picture while Gura blushes. "I don't think if you mess around with it, you'll rise to the next level. What will you do?"

Gura pondered her words, turning in her head all the options for her confession. She will be honest, she is just scared to do it, because she is afraid of being rejected in response. She is frightened by this topic, that if she confesses to Amelia, then she will not reciprocate these feelings, and in the worst case, stop communicating with her. She frowned.A thought flew through her head. A very bad idea. What if Gura doesn't confess to her by the end of the week, then Amelia will find herself someone else? Taking a breath, she turned to Ina, who was now looking at her.

"I have a whole week, a whole week, to prepare my confession." She answered, moving away from the picture and heading for the stairs. Ina hurried to catch up with her. "I'm just not ready yet, Ina."

"Do as you know Gura. But you better listen to my words."

The girl snorted in response as she quickened her pace because she didn't want to talk about it any further. Truth. She can decide for herself, at best, she still has the whole week ahead of her! She saw Kiara towering over Calli, who was trying to throw her off. Gura noticed that every day their relationship becomes clear and almost...mutual. But without paying any more attention to them, she went to the kitchen to make herself something to eat.

End of chapter one.
