Chapter Text
SeokJin was depressed. Another journey cancelled just as the trip was getting exciting. His partner gave up on him as they had reached China, claiming he was too eager and that he was tiring him. Never able to take breaks and sitting down to relax. He knew this was one of the major reasons he always ended up alone on his trips; he wanted to see everything quickly and it frustrated his partners.
He had decided to go back home with his partner, but instead of returning back to his apartment in Seoul, he stopped in Ilsan-Gu to go roam the city. He had never been there, and he thought it was a shame. Of course, he hoped he could find a partner before he went on again, but he was also okay with the fact he’d probably end up continuing alone.
He decided to stay for two days, that way he’d have more time to see everything and looked up on the internet for an inn. It seemed really weird to stay at an inn in the forest, but he liked the nature and feeling the breeze and inhaling the scent of the trees and plants.
———
He huffed as he got inside the taxi that would take him to the inn. It was going to be a lonesome trip for him, seeing the world all on his own, but better alone and getting to see everything, than going with someone, who wanted to take breaks and go home before continuing.
That was his way of thinking and it kept him going. He would see the world, even if he was going to feel lonely.
“Where are you going, sir?” The driver asked him, and looked at him through the rear view.
“ [address to inn], please,” SeokJin smiled softly at the man. He nodded and put the car in motion and SeokJin leaned back against the seat. He stared out of the window and let his mind fly.
Trees flew by them as the car zoomed through the road towards the destination, the stars shining ever so brightly on the night sky. He always loved watching the stars and constellations, and he could lay outside without moving an inch, just to stare at them, all night if he had the chance. Somehow it calmed his nerves.
The driver turned down a road to the place he was going to stay. It looked just like the pictures and it made him smile; he couldn’t wait to get inside to rest.
“Here we are, sir,” the man smiled and SeokJin handed him the money with a smile. He went out to get his baggage from the trunk and walked up the few steps to the entrance with the heavy suitcase.
He felt warm immediately as he entered and he breathed in contentedly. The cottage looking inn had a cozy and familiarity feel to it. It made him feel welcome and home. A fire was going in the fireplace, to his left, which provided the heat in the inn.
He heard clinging from glasses at the bar in front and he looked towards the sound. The sight that met him, caused him to stop up and stare. He was surprised. A tall and handsome man stood behind the desk and was cleaning the glasses with a cloth. His hair was dirty blond and he wore the clothes of a barista. The male had a round face which gave away his fluffy cheeks and plump pink lips and his soft boopable nose. It gave him an adorable look. At the same time his build body also made him look hot and incredibly beautiful; broad shoulders, big chest, and a slim waist. God he was marvelous.
SeokJin gushed without knowing. He was attractive and he would be damned if he wasn’t attracted to him. The fact that he was concentrating on washing the glasses, gave him a dominant demeanor and it made SeokJin weak in the knees.
The male looked up, hearing the door opening, and a bright smile lit up his face. SeokJin felt his heart fly up in his throat. What a gorgeous smile he also had; it made his eyes disappear and gave his cheeks the most precious dimples.
“Good evening!” He greeted, his voice low and cheerful. “I’m Kim Namjoon, the bartender and receptionist at this inn.” He introduced himself and SeokJin smiled at him.
“Hello! I’m Kim SeokJin.” He walked up to him to shake his hand. Where did his forwardness suddenly come from? “Nice to meet you!”
