Chapter Text
The City of L’Manburg was a gigantic city, lush with trees and plants despite its large population and thousands of buildings. The air was always humid no matter how much it rained. Due to its placement near the equator, it was always warm with a rare cool breeze every few months. Ice and snow was a foren sight to see in this city.
That was until July 12, 2022.
For the first time in centuries, snow fell upon the city. People stared in awe at the dark clouds and fluffy snowflakes. Children on their summer break ran outside and danced and giggled. Adults at work or on the streets looked up and immediately posted thousands of photos to loved ones and the internet.
But it wasn’t just because it snowed that caused such an uproar. With the awe came fear. Fear of the crimson colored snow as it fell and coated the earth with its eerie presence. And after many hours of the red snow falling, the city of L’Manburg looked like a bloodbath.
It wasn’t until near the end of the snow storm that the city citizens found out that this was happening all over the world. No matter where you were there was red snow.
The world went into a panic. Why was this happening and what could it mean? The Hero’s in each city tried their best to calm citizens down, but with very little knowledge on the situation there was little they could do, especially with them being just as confused.
With the worlds eyes on the snow, no one bared witness to a wall in an alleyway splitting open, glowing a bright red. A masked man stepped out of the glow and looked up at the sky. His body tensed at the sight of the snow, expression hidden behind the mask. He looked down at the watch and up at one of the large screens on the side of a building. July 12, 2022.
“So I went back 8 years this time.” He hummed. The wall behind him mended back together, the red light fading.
“Let’s get this over with.”
He pulled off his mask and stuffed it into his jacket pocket, walking out of the alleyway and blending into the crowd.
