Married Bees One-Shots

Summary:

“Mmm, Yaaannnggg~,” Blake turns and reaches out to Yang’s cheeks and proceeds to squish them like a stress ball.

“Yesshhh honey?”

“Can you zip up my dress? If you do then… you don’t have to wear a tie?”

Yang chuckles and makes Blake sit up with them before turning them to the side and kissing a trail up their spine as they slowly zip up their dress. Blake sighs as Yang leaves more kisses around her neck and shoulders.

“Mmm, as much as I’m loving this, we’re gonna be late.” Blake stands up, then grabs Yang’s hands and pulls him up as well, despite his pouting. “Come on my sun, we don’t need Weiss giving us one of her ‘all-knowing’ smirks the entire time.”

Notes:

I wanted to get back into some self-indulgent writing so I'm gonna use this to post little one-shots of married bees that I come up with. I use she/they pronouns for Blake and she/they/he pronouns for Yang.

Chapter Text

Yang couldn’t believe they had to wear a goddamn necktie. Sun was right, these things are death traps. No matter how many youtube tutorials they watched, no matter how many times their dad and Ghira showed them, he could just not figure out how to put on a fucking tie.

“Fuck it. Hey babe, is it alright if I put on a bow tie…or maybe just nothing at all?” Yang whispers that last part out.

Some rustling comes from within their restroom, along with zipping noises and Blake grunting. “You, ah! You forgot how to put on your tie again didn’t you, fuck—!”

“Uh, you okay?”

“Yeah, no, this stupid zipper won’t go up!” Blake stomps out of the restroom and throws herself back onto their bed with a grunt. Yang smiles in agreement and throws herself onto the bed too, right next to her wife.

Normally the Xiao Long-Belladonnas weren’t this much of a mess when it came to getting ready for formal events their family and friends had dragged them into. But they both had spent the days prior on hunting missions, their bodies felt like lead. Tonight though was special, huntsmen are coming from all over the world to celebrate Oscar’s new position as the headmaster of Beacon Academy. They couldn’t ditch this.

It has become a running joke in their family that whenever they were late to any function, it was assumed they were “doing the birds and bees” as Nora put it. And Weiss ends up gloating the entire time because she was at least dignified to keep her hands off Ruby long enough to be punctual at all times. It was all in good fun of course. But for once Blake would like to see what face Weiss makes upon seeing her sisters arriving somewhere before her.

Yang walks to the mirror, fixes their hair and puts on their gold stud earrings. “I think I’ll be too busy being distracted by you to notice Weiss’s gloating.”

Blake smirks and bumps Yang over so she could quickly check her makeup and hair, well aware of the hungry look Yang is now giving her. “Yeah? I guess I chose the right dress for tonight.”

Yang thought that was an understatement. The dress was perfect on them. A black floor-length dress with a thigh slit on one side and a cutout on the other side with zig-zagging straps by her stomach, revealing her scar. And best of all a plunging neckline showing just enough cleavage.

Blake finishes adjusting her hair and starts to fix up Yang’s suit. “You chose well too. Seems like you’re not the only being distracted tonight.” Yang preens at that. Blake has always been the more fashion-forward of the two. Getting her approval of her outfit choices meant everything, and not just because they’re married.

“You should wear this white suit and gold shirt combo more often,” Blake says. They bite their lip as they finish adjusting Yang’s collar before slowly running their hand down to the top button of Yang’s shirt and popping it open. Yang raises an eyebrow at that.

“Just needed a bit more cleavage showing is all~,” Blake sings and turns around to gather her purse and head out to the living room.

Yang chuckles and follows her after grabbing her wallet. But by the time she enters the living room, Blake is already grabbing the car keys and quickly heading out the door. The rapid click-clacking of her heels signaled to Yang that Blake was in a hurry to beat him to the passenger seat so that Yang would end up driving.

Yang rushes out after them but Blake was already in the car, checking her scroll. She sticks her tongue out at Yang upon noticing them.

Blake rolls the window down and Yang rests her arms on the sill. “You, my moon, are very conniving you know that?” She gets a smirk in return.

“I thought you loved it when I’m feisty?” Blake gives Yang a quick peck on the lips before going back to her task of locking their house from her scroll.

Yang chuckles and shakes her head. Blake may have won this time but they both knew she would offer to drive them back home after the party. It’s how they worked. They took care of each other and that includes equal share of responsibility when it comes to driving.

After Yang settles into the driver’s seat, Blake stops Yang from shifting the car into drive. “Sorry, I left a little bit of lipstick on you.” She reaches for a tissue and wipes Yang’s lips till there was none left. Then throws the tissue into a plastic bag.

Yang smiles, grabs Blake’s hand, and kisses the back of it. It was the best way to show her gratitude, even for something as small as cleaning her lips.

As Yang drives off a thought begins to form.

“Think we can beat Weiss there?”

“With how crazy fast you drive sometimes? Maybe.”

“I don’t drive that fast! But how about this, if I can beat Weiss there, then you have to do laundry the whole week.”

“Fine but if I win, you have to clean the restroom the whole month and that includes taking your hair out of the drain mister!”

Yang grumbles but acquises. “Alright then. Hope you enjoy washing my stinky boxers,” Yang sings before stepping slightly harder on the accelerator. She would never go fast enough to actually endanger their lives, but going a little faster wouldn’t hurt.

Used to this by now, Blake smiles and rolls her eyes and returns her attention to her text conversation with Weiss and Ruby. Those two just left their home apparently. Maybe Yang can actually win this. Shit.
