Work Header

Ms. Aoi-san please date me!

Summary:

But now, now there’s this person that’s insistently trying to get together with Aoi. Every chance the boy would get he’d ask her out, but of course her answer would always be: I have a boyfriend. Though that clearly didn’t stop him.

Notes:

This was supposed to be called ‘Mine’ and this isn’t how the plot was supposed to turn out but somehow it did but I’ll make another one where I’ll actually stick to the plot at hand😭

(See the end of the work for more notes.)

Work Text:

Aoi and Inosuke have been dating for 2 years now. Meaning that they’re in their second year of college. It has been obvious to anyone that the two were a couple so all confessions from anyone were buried away. Though there are still some people who would ask one of them out, it didn’t really matter to them that they were already in a relationship - not that majority of them knew or anything being as though they would just be starting the university - and that if we’re being honest did annoy the two. I mean who wouldn’t get annoyed when someone comes up to your girlfriend/boyfriend knowing their in a relationship and ask them out??

Yeah, anyways, of course the people would get rejected but it didn’t matter to them since it was ‘worth a shot’ and would move on with their day and wouldn’t try again, maybe when they’re not together they’ll try again but for now they’ll move on.

But now, now there’s this person that’s insistently trying to get together with Aoi. Every chance the boy would get he’d ask her out, but of course her answer would always be: I have a boyfriend. Though that clearly didn’t stop him.

Take now for example. It’s currently time for her lunch break and she’s sitting under a tree in the front yard of the building typing away on her phone. She looks up when a shadow looms over her only to see the person she’d been trying to avoid. They stare at each other for a minute, Aoi with a frown on her face and said boy with a smile.

After a while he ends up sitting next to her, making the frown on her face deepen.

“Ms. Aoi-san-“

“No.” She cuts his off before he could fully finish his sentence, though she already knew what he’d say. She went back to typing on her phone, apologizing to Kanao for not responding to her.

Once she became annoyed of the eyes staring at her she eventually looks over at the boy who had yet decided to leave.

“Can I help you?” She asks as nicely as she can with her patience running thin for the boy who nods at her question.

“Ms. Aoi-san you said you have a boyfriend.”

She nods.

“Then how come I never see him with you?”

Aoi raises a brow at the question then comes to a realization that that had been why the boy never gave up on asking her out. She laughs.

“That must be why you’re to insistent on getting me to date you.” The boy nods and waits for her to finish laughing so she could answer the question.

“You must be new to this university.”

“I am, I just started coming 2 or 3 months ago.”

Aoi hums. “We have different schedules so we don’t normally see each other on campus, only off.”

“Oh.”

“Yeah. But even if I weren’t telling the truth why are you constantly asking me out? Wouldn’t it be clear to you that I don’t wanna date you or you’re not my type?”

The boy puts his pointer finger over his chin and his thumb under and makes a thinking face while humming. “I never though about that.”

“Well maybe you should.“ she turns back to her phone when she gets a message. She opens it, reads it, replies to it, then turns her phone off.

“Today might be your lucky day, you get to meet him.” She smiles as he turns to look at her. “I’m pretty sure you know him, he’s quite….. popular.” She giggles then turns back straight facing the crowd, the boy doing so as well.

After a few minutes of looking at the crowd of people in front of the building a familiar face appears. He looks around and when he spots Aoi he starts walking towards her. She smile and waves a hand at him. The boy beside her has his eyes wide open in shock. He turns to face her then face the boy again then her once more.

“You’re dating Inosuke Hashibira?!”

She turns to him, smile still on her face, and nods.

“But how can someone as calm and collected as you date someone like him?!”

“That’s still a mystery to me as well.”

The boy stared at her in shock. He didn’t look away until Inosuke finally approached them, his shadow looming over them and a annoyed frown on his face and narrowed eyes. He stared at the boy for a minute then asked “who are you?”

The boy quickly jumped up and before we could speak Aoi spoke. “Doesn’t matter, he’s leaving anyways.” She shrugged her shoulders and watched as the boy quickly nodded then grabbed his bag and ran off.

‘Maybe he’ll stop asking me out now’ she thought to herself as Inosuke sat down beside her and laid his head on her lap. “Class was canceled?”

Inosuke nodded his head and closed his eyes, ready to fall asleep. Aoi smiled at him then when back to her phone. After a few minutes of silence Inosuke finally spoke up.

“ I still wanna know who he was.”

Aoi looked down at him thinking he was sleep the whole time but clearly not. “The guy that’d been asking me out for a while now.”

Inosuke looked at her with a scowl on his face. “That was him? He looks so… not like me, your type.” Aoi rolls her eyes and scoffs. “Inosuke I don’t have a type.”

Inosuke sat up at that and frowned at her. “Clearly you do if you’re dating me!” Aoi laughs and pulls Inosuke back down to her lap. “Inosuke just cause I’m dating you doesn’t mean I have a type.” She leaned down and pressed a soft kiss to his lips and pulled away slightly to speak once again. “Though you might be right.”
