Chapter Text
I miss you too. You have a weird way of telling me you miss me. Do you want me to come?
No, it’s okay. It’s late. Let’s… go on a proper date after work tomorrow. Let’s go somewhere nice. Okay?
Closing her phone and closing her eyes to save the echoing sound of Tae-moo's voice, Ha-ri took a deep breath and sighed, not aware that someone had been following her from the restaurant.
-----
Ha-ri heard the clanking of old pipes as water was turned on and off. Blinking with blurred eyes she wondered how much she had to drink last night.
Wait a minute.
Pipes? There aren’t pipe sounds in her bedroom.
She tries harder to wake up, but it’s so hard to keep her eyes open in the darkness.
Wait.. darkness? My room is never pitched black thanks to the chicken shop’s neon sign.
As Ha-ri starts to panic, her body going into fight mode. She realizes there’s something covering her eyes. That’s why she can’t see. There’s also something keeping her ankles tied and her arms tied behind her back.
Wiggling, Ha-ri sneezes. Her movement must have caused something like dust to fly into the air. She finally smells the scent of old, moldy, musty fabric under her.
I must be lying down on an old mattress or something. Where am I?
“I see you’re awake,” a deep voice said, as Ha-ri freezes.
Shit. I wasn’t here alone? I mean of course I didn’t tie myself up but… what do I do?
“Don’t worry little darling, I won’t hurt you, yet .” the deep voice says as something cold and pointy slides across Ha-ri’s right cheek.
Breathing heavily now, Ha-ri screams “get away from m–!”
She’s cut off as the knife moves to her throat, the blade pressing in.
“Ah, ah, ahhh. Bad little dar-ling. If you make too much noise, someone might hear, and then our fun will have to end early. We don’t want our fun to end early, do we little dar-ling?” the deep voice says pleasantly, as though they were discussing puppies playing in a sunny meadow.
