She looked around.
The room was enormous.
The ceiling soared high above her, dominated by a gold chandelier that glittered with dozens of tiny flames—no candles, no smoke, just fire hanging obediently in the air. The wallpaper was dark and rich, patterned with intricate designs that screamed expensive. A massive marble fireplace claimed one wall, cold and imposing.
And—
Portraits.
Sarah blinked.
The portraits blinked back.
They were moving.
OR:
Sarah waking up as a baby again was so not on her 2025 bingo card.
Neither was being a baby who would become Harry Potter’s future godmother.
But saying "plot twist" at any inconvenience was on her bingo card, so Sarah stares at her pudgy arms before thrusting them into the air with all her strength and shouts, "plot twist!"

Sam leaned forward, eyebrows knitting, stomach twisting as she stared at the screen.
She knew that body. That style of swimming. The tilt of the head. The bracelet on that wrist.
“No way,” she murmured.
Horror and disbelief collided in her chest as the camera—or whatever it was—shifted closer.
The face came into focus. A slightly younger version of herself. Her own face.
Samantha Jane Witwicky, swimming in a lake like she always did before school.

Oscar walks beside Mark, half-listening as he rambles about sponsor meetings, pretending she doesn’t notice the bright bursts of paparazzi flash around her.
Ahead of her—walking in the opposite direction—comes a cluster of Red Bull personnel, and at the centre stands Helmut Marko, the last person she wants near her morning.
They pass each other—Oscar moving forward, the Red Bull group moving toward her—and as they slip by, Marko turns his head deliberately, eyes flicking over her as he speaks with a bladed smile.
“Schwanzlutscher.”
It’s spoken like a compliment.
Like he thinks she’s too stupid to understand it.Oscar only flashes him a grin even sharper than his own.
In smooth, fluent German (thank you, Mickie), she fires back:
“Yeah—you are. But what about me?”Then she simply strides ahead to catch up with Mark, who watches her with the quiet resignation of her actions, ignoring the way Marko goes wine-red as he splutters and yells after her

Summary
The first time it happens, Bruce doesn’t do a great job at hiding his surprise. It was only a couple weeks after Tim’s adoption was officially finalized - hyphenated name and all. Bruce still smiles to himself at the memory of reading ‘Timothy Jackson Drake-Wayne’ on those papers, trying not to choke up at his third son being the first to take the Wayne name. Of course that was never an expectation, but still, it meant something that Tim chose to take it.
With that considered, perhaps Bruce shouldn’t have been quite so shocked by the teen calling him ‘Dad’, but he is. And he’s even more startled to hear it declared loudly as Tim abruptly sprints towards him down the hall at full speed.
“Dad Test!”
Or
Tim starts a trend in the family of jumping at Bruce at random, increasingly difficult times shouting: 'Dad Test!' to see if he'll catch them. This leads to many shenanigans & then crash lands into angst because of course it does.

And that simple sentence is enough to shatter the peace and monotone of Dick’s day. The bright blue screen swirling until a tiny dot, until Dick can remember to blink or breathe as the woman’s words seem to have taken a physical form and rip the air from his lungs with her bare hands.
“What?” Is the pitched word that slips from his pressurized lungs and from his lips.
