Rather than leaving, Bruce hovers for a moment. The tick of the clock signifies the passage of time, but Bruce isn’t looking at the clock; he’s looking at Tim.

Summary
Tim disappeared after delivering information to the Justice League that would save Bruce. When he returned, he refused to communicate with anyone and was brought to Jason by Pru with a request for help. Jason took him with him, took responsibility and took him under his protection. Tim had to retire and started everything from scratch. Jason was his biggest support throughout this process.

Summary
Tim knew Jason was alive, there was no body, thus no proof of death. He knew Jason was alive, because somewhere out there in the wide depth of the multiverse, he knew his spark still shone. He knew this to be true, and he was going to find him. He was going to prove that he wasn't losing his mind (even if it felt like it) that he could do this.
But what will he do now that he found a way to travel to a whole other universe? Will he find his way to Jason? Will he be able to go home again? Will Jason even want to come with him? And why is he starting to lose so much time again?
But more importantly, who are all these people that seem so set on making sure he is ok? He's fine. Completely fine. Even if the voices are getting worse and he feels a bit like he is breaking. He'll be fine, he just needs to get Jason home. Then everyone can be normal again.
Or: the Tim focused sequel about found family and rekindling bonds. A character study into trauma, and a deep dive into Tim and Jason's complicated sibling bond.
Follow up to Stray Little Bat (but works as a stand alone). Going to be super slow to update until SLB is done, but I wanted to get it in chronologically.

Tim Drake is used to taking care of himself. It's an old habit he picked up straight from when he was old enough to comprehend the English language. So, when he wakes up in the middle of the night, next to his dead laptop, stomach violently churning and skin soaked in sweat, he quickly rubs his eyes to keep himself awake long enough to get to the washroom. Tim opts for sitting on the cold tile floor, his knees curled up in a fruitless attempt to stop feeling like he's about to die at the hands of Mr. Freeze.
OR: When Tim wakes up feeling ill, he decides that living on the bathroom floor with a singular bathmat for warmth is a good idea. Thankfully, his new family is willing to help him out a bit.

JJ stares in the mirror, his brows pulled together. His green hair has gotten long and unkempt, nothing like when his mother would brush it and sing to him. Everyone keeps asking why it’s growing in green. He’s tried to tell them that it’s because his hair is green, just like his Daddy’s, but no one is listening. He sighs, looking down. He’s not chained anymore, hasn’t been for a couple of weeks, and he’s started tucking the pills into his cheeks. He doesn’t like how off that make him feel. It’s like he can feel pain that’s not there, and he has nightmares about electricity, and someone hurting him.
He doesn’t like it, and he refuses to deal with it any longer. He has to get out of here, has to find his parents.

Honestly, Tim was impressed. Bruce had clearly planned what he was going to say ahead of time, and Tim wouldn’t be shocked if it was written down somewhere and then rehearsed. It was firm, yet careful and open. Honest. Communicative. Things Batman usually wasn’t.
