Summary
Rath has ambitions to have AIs and real humans coexist. In order to help make that a reality, Kikuoka has invited Kirito to a secret location, enticing him with, "You will want to see this." As he arrives, Kirito is shocked that his best friend has been recreated in the real world. In order to complete him though, Kirito is asked to dive back into the Underworld to retrieve Eugeo's soul. A simple recovery mission becomes more as people all over the Underworld have gone missing. Taking Ronye, Liena, and soon Renly, Kirito and his group embark on a journey to discover the truth. Finding out Pontifex is back has Kirito unnerved, but what could she possibly want with his best friend? What's worse, she awakens in Eugeo a soul that's even more dangerous, bent on completely destroying the Underworld. Sacrifices must be made, relationships will be tested, but for a chance to see and be with his best friend again? There isn't anything Kirito wouldn't do.
