"Without warning, the blindfold is removed and I am thrust into the light. I am on a stage, lit by harsh white lights. Two men stand beside me; one large and burly with hands the size of my face, and the other smaller and leaner with six total teeth in his wide mouth. He speaks quietly into a microphone and I can’t make out what he says, but he turns to smile at me and my heart pounds in my chest. I am in danger.
