A soft guitar strummed.

Red and white petals fluttered past the moon, shimmering amongst the glow of soft snowfall.
the most ambitious crossover in history
The petals flooded the sky, dissolving into nothingness.

A figure stood under the moon, face hidden by their hood. Their unseen expression was solemn, with weary eyes focused on a silver plaque. "Kotoko Asahina: Thus kindly I scatter". A grave, marked with a careful dark carving. The figure turned away, walking off with crunches in the snow.
The wanderer enters the nearby forest, paying no mind to the beastly shadows darting among the trees. She was used to them. They didn’t scare her anymore. However, she was forced to acknowledge them upon reaching a clearing and finding a swarm of red-eyed Beowolves. They circled her, as she was honed in as their prey. When three finally dashed forwards to attack, they were met with air. The figure had leapt into the air, as was noticed by the monsters looking up.
She glowed in front of the moon as her hood fell back, revealing her tan face and glittering silver eyes. She almost seemed to move in slow motion as she reached under her jacket to unveil a folded staff. It slowly rolled it into its full form, splitting into a trident at one end, before firing a red laser from the middle prongs, one that hit the face of a beowulf, instantly obliterating it.
More monsters attacked upon her landing. She swiftly leapt over the first, then blasted it in the back as she tumbled through the air, before aiming for another monster's side. She rolled forwards in her landing, shooting one more beam from her weapon at a third Beowolf. It blasted her back, and she skidded to a stop, her boots pushing up snow into backstops for her heels.
Another brave beast came forward, but all it took was a thrust from the girl's weapon, easily allowing her to catch the monster's apparent neck between the middle prongs. Her hair was rustled by the wind as she smiled at the Beowolf peacefully, before swinging her weapon, thus the monster as well, and firing. The creature burst, soon fizzling to ashes even before what remained hit the ground. The rest of the pack charged at the sight of their mercilissly murdered brethren.
The girl swung her weapon masterfully, blasting another laser into a Beowolf. When more approached, she crouched in place, firing shot after shot at oncomping monsters. One got too close, swiping at her with it's tainted black claws. The girl was barely able to dodge in time, springing into a jump and firing in front of her, allowing her to move back, escaping the nearring attacks. She dug the prongs into the snow to slow herself down, snarling as more creatures emerged from the woods.
One Beowolf that had snuck up behind her almost snagged her with its claws, but she twisted out of the way just in time. She kicked the beast behind her while firing a blast at one that had been nearing her from the front. Twirling the trident, she managed to cut down oncoming Beowolves from both sides, ending the attack by dodging a clawed swipe, then catching the attacker in her trident prongs. With one blast, she took out two monsters, as her laser caught both the Beowolf in her weapon as well as the one behind it.
She leapt over two, then sliced down one, finally beheading a fourth with a blast that sent her upwards. Two Beowolves trailed her from the ground, but she shot them from midair before landing again, spinning her trident as fast as possible to block a clawed attack. The force of the swipe pushed her back, allowing her to see the large amount of enemies left. The girl nodded. There was only one thing left to do.
She pulled a cylindrical cartridge from her pocket, inserting it into the handle of her trident. Her skin slowly turned red, beads of sweat dripping down her face as she aimed the trident into the woods behind her. With one fire of her laser, she went flying through the clearing, faster than any of the monsters had ever seen, rendering them dumbfounded.
She moved on instinct, still fighting while shooting like a rocket. Her trident prongs could move fast enough to chop through three Beowolves at once. Her gravity infused laser blasts pushed opponents away, causing them to crash into each other. She spinned through the crowd, swinging her trident at lightning speeds. Blackened body parts went flying into the air.
Faster, and faster yet, she continued killing monsters with practiced movements, until she finally sliced the final one in half. She blasted herself into a jump and finally landed in the snow once more, her trident prongs dug into the ground behind her, while she held the pole with both hands twisted gracefully behind her back. Grimm ashes showered her in black as she disappeared into another nameless shadow among the snowy white sky, her silhouette visible against the red moon.
