"Jeong." Tzuyu softly called out and shook her wife, "Jeong."
Jeongyeon groaned and turned onto her side, "Five more minutes.."
"It's the day, Jeongyeon." Tzuyu stated simply, causing Jeongyeon to immediately sit up.
"Are you sure? May 10th? It's pass 2:54 in the morning?" she questioned, Tzuyu nodding to all of the questions.
"It's her birthday."
"And.. we have nothing planned, what do we do?" Jeongyeon questioned.
"Well, she won't remember it, thankfully.. so we don't have to do anything big.." Tzuyu thought for a moment, "Your schedule is clear for today, right?"
"Yeah, made sure to keep this day free." Jeongyeon replied.
"Great.. alright.." Tzuyu got off the bed and opened the curtains of the window, "We can make her cupcakes?"
"That's a good idea, what's a flavor she never tried before?" Jeongyeon questions.
"Chocolate, but should we really give her something new for her birthday? Why don't we just give her her favorite?" Tzuyu replies.
"We can make both, and since it's just us three, it shouldn't be too hard." Jeongyeon shrugs.
"Okay.. Can you look up recipes? I'll get out the things we need and prepare her breakfast." Tzuyu tells her and she nods.
As Tzuyu leaves the room, Jeongyeon pulls out her phone and starts searching up cupcake recipes.
"She's gonna try chocolate.. and her favorite flavor is red velvet.. So I'll look for both." she spoke to herself and scrolled through google.
"Wait.." Jeongyeon paused, "Tzu!"
Tzuyu came back into the room, "Hm?"
"Can't we just buy cake mix and put it into cupcake pans?" she questioned.
"Why didn't I think of that?" Tzuyu nodded, "Do you want to go get it or should I?"
"I'll do it, I'll be back." Jeongyeon got off the bed and went to the bathroom, getting herself ready for the day.
Tzuyu made her way back to the kitchen and took out fruits from the fridge and some cereal from the pantry. She took two small pink bowls from the cabinet and put a mixture of fruit in one, and the cereal in the other. She put the fruits back in the fridge and checked the baby monitor. Yuyeon was still sleeping peacefully. She decided to get ready for whenever Jeongyeon came back, but got a call.
"Jeong? Everything okay?" she questioned.
"Everything's fine.. just.. is it okay to make a few extra purchases?"
"An extra purchase? What is it?"
"I.. there was this dude on the side of the road--"
"This better not be anything illegal."
"I swear it isn't he was giving away his--"
A sound caused Tzuyu to look back towards the baby monitor, seeing that Yuyeon was awake and sitting up in the crib.
"It's not illegal, it's alright then." Tzuyu says, "I have to go, Yuyeon woke up."
"Alright, I'll see you later."
"Mhm, bye." Tzuyu hung up the phone and made her way into Yuyeon's bedroom, picking her up out of the crib.
"Good morning, sunshine." she smiled at her, "Happy birthday."
Yuyeon rubbed her eyes and laid her head on Tzuyu's shoulder, "Mama?"
"What's up, baby?" she questioned.
"Mom?"
"She went to the store, she'll be back soon." Tzuyu walked to the bathroom, "Let's get you ready."
Tzuyu picked up the small toothbrush and ran it under water. She brushed the few teeth that were poking out of Yuyeon's gums.
"You're a big girl now, Yuyeon." she smiled, "Isn't that exciting?"
Yuyeon clapped in response to the enthusiastic tone that Tzuyu was giving. They stayed in the bathroom for a while, doing hair, changing Yuyeon's diaper, and putting on clothes. Tzuyu carried her to the kitchen and put her in the highchair. She made sure that she was securely strapped in before going towards the fridge and taking out the bowl of fruits. She placed it infront of Yuyeon and then got the cereal from the counter.
"There you go." Tzuyu turned to the sink, "I should probably clean up a bit."
She picked up a sponge and started washing the dishes in the sink. Just as she finished, the door opened.
"I'm home!" Jeongyeon shouted, "And--"

"Did you just bark?" Tzuyu questions, looking in the direction of the hallway.
Jeongyeon came into the kitchen holding a few bags in one hand and a crate in the other. She placed it on the floor opened it and there were two puppies on the inside.
"Doggies!!" Tzuyu shouted and kneeled down, "Ahh! They're so cute!"
Then she paused, "How did you go to the store for cake mix and come back with 2 puppies?"
"This dude on the sidewalk was giving away his puppies, and they just looked so adorable. I knew you're really good at taking care of dogs, considering you grew up with a few.. and you are a dog teacher, so I decided to get one." Jeongyeon replied.
"One? So how'd you end up with the other?" she questioned.
"They were attached to each other. I picked the smaller one up, and then that one started whining. I didn't want to separate them." Jeongyeon answered.
"I got it," Tzuyu investigated the dogs a little more, "Australian shepherds, both boys."
She stood up and nodded, "I'm not too sure how old they are.. but they do seem to be somewhere around 10 weeks."
"Do you know when they last got bathed?" she asked.
"I didn't ask."
"Hmm.. alright, I'll give them a quick bath. You start the cupcakes." Tzuyu bent back down and closed the crate, picking it back up and making her way to the bathroom.
Jeongyeon went over to the cabinet and took out a cupcake pan. She read the ingredients on the side of the box before getting started.
"Pour the mix into the mixer and then add 1 cup of water.." Jeongyeon put down the box, "Alright, simple enough."
She measured out a cup of water and poured in the mix a little too quickly, resulting in a small mess.
"It's fine, I'll clean that up later." she said as she poured in the water and went back to the instructions.
Pour 1/2 cup vegetable oil and add 3 eggs. Mix.
Jeongyeon measured out the oil and poured it in. She then got the eggs and put them in, turning on the mixer afterwards.
"Wait, is that an eggshell?" she noticed and grabbed a spoon.
She took the spoon and attempted to take our the eggshell, but the beater hit the spoon, causing her to loose her grip on it. She let go of the spoon and it flung back up and hit her face.
"Ah! F-- FRICK! FRICK!" Jeongyeon shouted and held her forehead.
She turned around to the sound of giggling, "Oh, so your mom in pain funny now? Alright Yuyeon, I see how it is."
She turned back to the mixer and continued trying to fish out the eggshell. And, it took a long while, but the cupcakes were finally in the oven. Tzuyu was done bathing the puppies as well!
"Did you get food for them?" Tzuyu questioned, gaining a nod from Jeongyeon, "Beds?"
"Mhm. I got everything you have for the dogs that you teach."
"Alright, great."
...
"Did you put on a timer for the cupcakes?" she asked her.
"No, but they haven't been in that long, so, I'll set one now." Jeongyeon goes over to her phone and picks it up.
"Really? They're rising awfully quickly." Tzuyu comments and presses a button on the oven, "Jeong."
"Huh?"
"You set the oven to 450."
"..." Jeongyeon looked up from her phone, "Crap."
"No, no, it's alright. How long have they been in?" Tzuyu asked her.
"Around 10 minutes."
"They should be just about done then, lemme check."
Tzuyu went and grabbed a toothpick and an oven mitt. She opened the oven and pulled out the pan a bit, sticking in the toothpick.
"Yeah, that's done." she took out the pans and set them on the stove, "We need to let them cool."
Jeongyeon nodded in agreement and the two decided to take Yuyeon out of her high chair so that she could play around until they were ready. Jeongyeon watched Yuyeon play with her toys before standing up using the support of the couch. Just as Jeongyeon was about to turn away, Yuyeon let go of the chair and attempted to stabilize herself. She took a step forward. Jeongyeon's eyes widened as she reached for her phone and opened the camera.
"Tzu!" she whisper-shouted, not wanting to break Yuyeon's concentration, "Tzu, look!"
Tzuyu turned got a bit shocked when she saw Yuyeon taking a couple steps. The two stayed quiet until she fell, wide smiles on their faces.
"Great job, baby!" Jeongyeon walked over and ruffled her hair.
"We're so proud of you!" Tzuyu commented before turning back to the kitchen.
The cupcakes were cooled so they made their way back to the kitchen and put half of a chocolate cupcake and half of a red velvet cupcake infront of Yuyeon. Yuyeon reached out for the chocolate cupcake first and looked at it in her hands before putting it in her mouth. She clapped after swallowing, so, Tzuyu and Jeongyeon assumed she liked it.
"It's good, huh? We could let you have chocolate more often." Jeongyeon nodded in consideration.
But, Tzuyu didn't say anything.
"I.. don't think this is normal, Jeong." Tzuyu looked at the toddler.
"..." Jeongyeon paused, "Oh crap!"
Yuyeon's lips and tongue were starting to swell.
"Alright.. just stay calm.. if we panic, she'll panic." Tzuyu picked up Yuyeon, "Get the car keys, we're going to have to go to the doctor really quickly."
Jeongyeon nodded and went into the living room, picking up the car keys. They made there way to the car and drove to the doctor's office, getting another date to go to the allergen. The swelling went down after a little while, so they were able to go home.
"No more chocolate." Jeongyeon picked up the chocolate cupcake and put it away.
Tzuyu nodded and sat at the couch with Yuyeon, turning on the television and watching some shows with her until it was time to go to bed. The two bathed her and got her dressed in her pajamas, they put her in the crib and read a few stories until she fell asleep.
"I'm so glad she won't remember this day." Tzuyu shook her head.
"Let's not mess it up this bad next year." Jeongyeon said, and Tzuyu nodded in agreement.
"Now let's go take care of the dogs." she stood up.
"Wait Tzu!" Jeongyeon quietly shouted, causing Tzuyu to look at her.
"I love you."
Tzuyu smiled, "I love you too."
