Work Text:

"Dress up. We're going somewhere."

Lying on their bed, Hoyoung looked up from his phone and saw his boyfriend Dongheon all dressed up, but he chose to ignore it and went back to his thing. "Yah... Don't ignore me and dress up before I drag you out."

"It's already night, and why do I need to go with you? You hate going out with me, right?"

"Stop asking questions and get ready. I don't have all night." Rolling his eyes, Hoyoung forcefully pulled himself out of bed and went straight to the bathroom to change since he had already gone to shower before Dongheon did.

Hoyoung chose a simple outfit he found in his closet, as he was not in the mood, but he was satisfied with the outcome. All black partnered with white shoes to make his outfit pop up.

"Took you forever. Let's go; my friends are waiting for us."

"Your friends? Then why do I need to tag along?"

"Just get in the car now, will you?" Hoyoung just raised his brow to his boyfriend, finding it suspicious as they have been dating for over a year, but Dongheon never introduced him to his friends, not even once.

It's suffocating, and Hoyoung doesn't like it.

"I'm giving you a few seconds to spill."

"What?" "What came to your senses to let me tag along with you, specifically to your friends' hangout?"

"Does everything need an explanation? Just because, nothing particularly." Dongheon glanced at Hoyoung in the mirror, finding him not buying his answer. He knew the younger's expression, making it for him quite hard to defend himself, causing every talk of them into arguments. "So? Don't expect me to believe you. Just cut this shit out and tell me the reason."

"I don't need to answer your question since there is no rea-."

"Oh, really? Because as long as I remember, you hated when you go out with me. But now, unbelievable."

Dongheon just ignored him to avoid making the quarrel bigger than it was, driving Hoyoung insane and causing him to shut his mouth on the entire ride.

-------

"Here comes the VIP! I thought you're not coming, Heon hyung." The couple reached the table, and a man that Hoyoung assumed was Dongheon's friend screamed after seeing his boyfriend. He never thought their destination would be at the bar, making him quite awkward since he doesn't like going in large crowds.

Roaming his eyes around until he found Dongheon's other friend staring at him. Not wanting to be rude, he flashed a small smile and darted his attention to his boyfriend, who gestured for him to sit.

Awkwardness surrounds Hoyoung's system, and feeling quite uneasy around the place but decides to calm himself down.

"Hyung, how's life? We haven't seen each other for ages."

"Chani-yah, you can just tell me you missed me, and besides, we met like a week ago."

"Who would miss you? But anyway, I see that you brought someone today. Wooahhhh, he's pretty. Who is he, hyung-ah? Is he single?"

"Cut that, Minchan-ah. He's Hoyoung." Not exactly satisfied with Dongheon's answer, Hoyoung smiled, hiding the dissatisfaction as he spoke, "Hi, nice to meet you."

10... 25... 45... 60.

Exactly 1 hour, Hoyoung had been silent since he couldn't relate to their topic. He should be fine, as he thought, not until some chick decided to sit with them. He's not the type of person to care about someone's presence, but the fact that the girl was sitting in Dongheon's lap, flirting with him as if he was not there, driving him crazy and wanting to burst into his boyfriend.

"Fuck this shit. Flirting with some chick while I'm here. Did Heon hyung really bring me here to watch him being lovey-dovey with someone else, or maybe worse than that? He said he already stopped fucking around girls, but I guess he lied. I should really break up with him."  Him cursing under his breath, scoffing in disbelief at the end of his statement.

-----

Been drinking the whole time, Gyehyeon had been silent since he reached the bar, rejecting every girl who flirted with him. No one had caught his attention, even though many girls had already offered to hook up with him, not until Dongheon appeared with someone.

He finds him pretty and definitely suits his taste, causing him to stare at the guy until he makes eye contact with the latter. The time he noticed the soft smile that the guy released when they stared at each other made him smirk, wanting to claim him.  "Fuck... I never thought I would be pleased agreeing with this hangout."

After knowing the guy's name, Gyehyeon has been stealing glances at Hoyoung, whose sitting quietly beside Dongheon. Looking at him for a long time, he witnessed how Hoyoung moved farther away from Dongheon and how his expression darkened when some girl sat on his hyung's lap and started flirting with each other. "Guys. I'll be at the bathroom if you need me." Minchan immediately rushed out of the scene, losing him in their sight, making Gyehyeon make a move.

The moment he spoke, he caught his hyung's attention, causing Dongheon to ask the girl to give them a moment alone. "Can I ask a question?"

"Sure thing. What is it?"

"Hoyoung-ssi... Are you dating Heon hyung?"

Gyehyeon noticed how Dongheon froze in his spot while the said name fixed his posture. He couldn't care less about the surroundings than waiting for Hoyoung to answer his question.

"He's my b-."

"Friend. Hoyoung's my friend." Hoyoung immediately darted his attention to Dongheon, displaying disbelief on his face. "I'm just a what to you?"

"Friends. F-R-I-E-N-D-S. That's how you fucking spell friends."

"Cut this bullshit. You're kidding, right?"

"No. F-R-I-E-N-D-S. Get that shit inside your head."

Hatred.

Disbelief.

Hoyoung's disappointed but not stunned.

All of this penetrated his system, driving him completely insane as he couldn't imagine that his boyfriend denied him.

Hoyoung scoffed, liking to storm out of the bar but chose to calm himself down.

Hearing Dongheon's response, Gyehyeon's smirk widened, liking what he heard from his hyung.

Dongheon assumed that Gyehyeon would shut his mouth up, but he didn't foresee the follow-up question that the younger had been wanting to ask since the beginning, which stunned his whole body. "Then, if that's the case. Hoyoung-ssi, would you like to get out of here with me?"

Hearing Gyehyeon's question, Hoyoung smirked internally, happy about the drama, letting the excitement take over his body, and answered Gyehyeon's question without hesitation, "I would gladly take that offer."

"Then, shall we?" Gyehyeon led his hand, waiting for the latter to take it.

Knowing the intention, Hoyoung extended his hand and was about to hold his hand when Dongheon gripped it. "What the fuck?! Did you just take his offer right in front of me?! Hoyoung-ah, you're supposed to be with me all night. For fuck sake, I'm your fucking boyf-..."

"F-R-I-E-N-D-S." Pulling his hand away, Hoyoung smiled at Dongheon sarcastically before taking Gyehyeon's hand on his own and finally completing his words. "We're just friends."

The two were about to leave, but Gyehyeon still wanted to piss Dongheon off even more, and a plan suddenly flashed through his mind. Without any warning, Gyehyeon stopped from his track and immediately pulled the guy's hand towards him, sending the latter in shock.

Hoyoung noticed the stop but didn't expect the pull, causing him to stumble to Gyehyeon's chest. He was about to distance himself to avoid awkwardness not until he felt an arm snaked around his waist, pulling him even closer.

The whole place suddenly felt quiet for Hoyoung, but Gyehyeon's words brought his mind back as the latter looked at him as he spoke, "You don't need to worry about anything, Heon hyung. I'll take care of him."

Hearing the latter's words, Hoyoung felt butterflies in his stomach and sensed his face getting hot as he avoided the latter's eyes.

Gyehyeon smiled after seeing Hoyoung's response to his words, then focused his attention on Dongheon as he felt emotions surround the atmosphere.

Annoyance.

Irritation.

Rage.

Dongheon's reaction brought satisfaction to his whole body, causing a smirk to arise on his lips to enrage him even more before leaving the bar, still holding Hoyoung.

Dongheon just followed their figure with his eyes until he lost them in his sight, drawing a sigh of disbelief from his mouth as he got betrayed by his own friend.

"I fucking hate you, Jo Gyehyeon."
