Common Misconceptions

Summary:

Katsuki was five foot seven on a good day.

He was small, height wise, weight wise, and shoe size.

He had been picked on his entire fucking life for it and Katsuki would be the first to tell you that Shoe Size DOES NOT determine Jack fucking shit.

But the blond struggled with his small stature often…because he was an alpha.

Alphas were normally six feet plus tall, large overbearing muscular frames, and giant…feet.

Katsuki was none of that.

Chapter 1: Size Difference

Chapter Text

📏Size Difference📏

Katsuki was five foot seven on a good day.

He was small, height wise, weight wise, and shoe size.

He had been picked on his entire fucking life for it and Katsuki would be the first to tell you that Shoe Size DOES NOT determine Jack fucking shit.

But the blond struggled with his small stature often…because he was an alpha.

Alphas were normally six feet plus tall, large overbearing muscular frames, and giant…feet.

Katsuki was none of that.

Sure he was muscular… he worked out often, he took care of himself, but Katsuki was more of a lithe swimmer's body, with an hourglass shape and a giant ass than any sort of rectangular shape…like most alphas.

It was hard for Katsuki to see his worth in a land of large perfect alphas…especially when he looked like an omega.

The blond didn’t fucking act like an omega, not that there was anything wrong with omegas. Katsuki would be the first to tell you that they were just as judgemental as alphas.

And the first date many ran screaming saying they wanted a loud and in charge alpha, and as they fled the restaurant. The other patrons got to know how loud and In charge Katsuki really was as he drowned his sorrows in chocolate cake and a strawberry milkshake his tears getting soaked up by his entire of whatever the fuck they called this gruel.

So Katsuki didn’t know why he put himself out there when Izuku set him up on a blind date.

Why the fuck had he said yes?

He knew this would only lead to fucking disaster and failure.

But he sat here in his red button down and black slacks with his black leather harness overtop because he worked in the fashion industry there was no way he was going to look less than his best.

Katsuki was pretty sure…the omega was never coming…and if they were they were already thirty minutes late.

Katsuki couldn’t stand tardiness.

But he would wait a little more. At this point Katsuki was pretty sure he would wait forever for a chance to find a mate.

His fingers ran over the bottom of the fork with an odd fascination as a giant looking shadow overcast the table and Katsuki looked up into bright carmine eyes and sharp teeth.

But the man in question had to be easily seven feet tall, with a large muscular frame, and a rectangular shape that…that had Katsuki envious, flaming red hair that looked oddly ethereal braided and styles the way it was…was this the waiter?

“Are you Katsuki?” The man questioned, his voice deep baritone, but soft like sunshine.

“I am” the blond replied and the beaming smile he received made his heart flutter slightly.

Was this man the message carrier?

‘Like haha your blind date isn’t coming?’

“Oh thank god! I went and sat with the wrong person! I’m so sorry I’m late! The dude wouldn’t stop talking about himself…so I didn’t even get to ask!” The redhead giggled slightly as he held out his hand. “I’m Eijirou Kirishima! It’s so wonderful to finally meet you in person! Izuku always talks about how incredible you are!”

Katsuki squinted slightly a snarl on the tip of his tongue.

Was this Izuku’s plan?

Alpha on alpha….Eijirou Would dominate him in seconds…the man was massive.

“Is this a joke?” Katsuki questioned before he could stop himself and Eijirou paused with a cock to his head.

“A joke? Uh…no? Izuku set us up on a blind date…and….and I just made a mistake” the redhead stated, his eyes nervous and unsure.

Katsuki took a deep breath and swallowed his anger. It wasn’t Eijirou’s fault…he didn’t know. The redhead was beautiful and if Katsuki was looking into having another alpha as a partner he was sure Eijirou would be one of his first choices.

But Katsuki knew his alpha, the thing was alway so certain that people were talking down on him or making fun of him that he was quick to snap and hurt him.

Katsuki would never willingly hurt someone, especially someone who smelled of sunflowers and honey. Someone he was partnered with.

“Eijirou it was wonderful to meet you…but I’m sorry I don’t date other alphas…My alpha gets way too aggressive and I don’t want either one of us to get hurt.” The blond stated and Katsuki wished he could shove the words straight back into his mouth.

Eijirou looked gutted and devastated before gnawing on his bottom lip so hard between his sharp teeth that Katsuki was sure he was going to cut his lip. He was wringing his long lithe fingers together nervously.

“I’m…um…I’m an omega.” Eijirou whispered with a sniffle, his red eyes brimmed with tears as he gave Katsuki a reassuring smile. “It’s…it’s okay though….I…I know…I um” Eijirou stumbled over his words and all Katsuki wanted to do was reach out and pull the giant into his lap, so he could card his hands through those flaming red tresses. “I Know I don’t look like an omega…but…it’s okay” Eijirou took a stuttering breath as the tears fell. “You wouldn’t be the first one…that didn’t like how big I was.” He shrugged, holding out his hand. “It was great meeting you, Katsuki”

Katsuki stared up into carmine eyes and he knew that if he let Eijirou walk away he would never forgive himself. “I apologize Eijirou, I was worried about both of our safety. My alpha gets pretty aggressive, because I also get overlooked and picked on because I’m small.” The blond sighed, scrubbing a hand over his face.

Eijirou looked Katsuki up and down and then smirked. “But not where it matters!” He winked at Katsuki and the blond just shook his head before letting out a loud boisterous laugh.

When Scarlett met sparkling carmine. Katsuki knew he was hooked.

He knew then and there that Eijirou was the omega for him. “So Sunshine, would you join me for dinner?” Katsuki offered, gesturing to the empty chair across from him and the redheaded omega beamed as he sat down.

“Yes please!!!” Eijirou giggled as his long fingers ran over the menu and Katsuki could hear how pleased his alpha was.

Only the strongest Alphas could handle an omega of his stature. Beautiful. Perfect’

Katsuki didn’t even realize he was rumbling until he noticed a deep guttural purr that was steadily escaping Eijirou as he bit his thumb while reading over the menu.

Yeah…they were perfect for each other.
