    Bakugou leans in, his face so close that Kirishima can count the specks of dark red in his eyes. Bakugou’s hand slides to rest on Kirishima’s shoulder, emboldened, Kirishima reaches forward and pulls Bakugou closer by his shirt. Suddenly with Bakugou so close and his warmth all around him, Kirishima panics and jerks back, eyes widening in the horror of what he was about to do. Despite himself, he laughs breathily, his head thrown back, and eyes closed. Bakugou chuckles but doesn’t hesitate to pull Kirishima back in. They lock eyes and the brief lightness gives way to thick air. The remnants of the laugh still stuck in Kirishima’s throat.
