Summary
“Blackwhip wouldn’t activate today.”
“What?” Katsuki's eyes go wide.
“I tried to use Blackwhip multiple times today and it just wasn’t working...”
An eerie silence engulfs the two as Katsuki continues to stare at him.
Izuku knew the situation was troubling but Kacchan’s reaction wasn't what he was expecting and it was kinda creeping him out.
Finally Katsuki breaks the silence and asks, “Did the preschool call you about Toshi today?”
Okay now Izuku is really confused. Here they are talking about a mysterious and troubling new development involving the most powerful quirk in history, and Katsuki is bringing up their four year olds’ preschool calling about what he can only assume is about who’s bringing snacks to the next PTA meeting or something.
“Just answer the question, Deku.”
“Uh… yeah but I haven’t gotten to talk to them yet.”
Katsuki just nods like he’s seen a ghost.
“Uh huh... follow me inside.”
