Seven minutes had struck by since you first fluttered your eyes open that day and in those same seven minutes you and your lover had already managed to get tangled in each other’s loving embrace. Blissful yet shy smiles and grins were exchanged between you two whilst recounting some amorous occurrences from the previous night.
“I didn’t cause you too much pain, did I?” Kaeya whispered questioningly in your ear as his lips brushed faintly against the shell of your ear, the unintentional act itself almost causing your heart to pop right out of your chest.
“No, don’t worry,” you murmured faintly with appreciation upon his concern, “actually, I enjoyed every second of it.”
The baby blue-eyed male couldn’t help but let the smirk creep up on his lips upon hearing your honest confession, “Oh my… Is that so~? I’m glad considering it was your first time…~”
Like a gold-hungry pirate who buries his beloved treasure deeply under the ground where no sunlight can glisten its rays, you buried your burning face right away into Kaeya’s bare chest in a similar manner to conceal your wide smile. With tenderness he began to travel his scarred fingers through your enmeshed locks while drawing his lips near to plant a kiss against your head.
“Are you really going to hide that pretty face of yours now, snowflake? Just when I was admiring it under the early morning sun?” innocently, he teased you with that smooth and captivating voice of his meanwhile your face tardily started to rise as he lifted your chin up. Half-lidded, mesmerizing light blue eyes were already impatiently waiting for yours, yet you couldn’t help but avert your gaze elsewhere due to the sudden wave of timidness that had washed over you like an unexpected squall that entered whilst the sky was crystal clear. “C’mon (y/n), show me those eyes that made my poor heart flutter over and over again.”
Accompanied with bashfulness you fixated your eyes at the biding ones in front of you and the second you did so you felt the presence of Kaeya’s cold fingertips on your neck that had been painted red and purple with his lips past night. His lips curled into a smirk upon your sudden flinch and he couldn’t contain his sweet laughter anymore.
“What’s so funny all of a sudden?” you questioned with a face full of bafflement as that pleasant voice of his filled the on-going silence in the air.
“Nothing actually,” he admitted, “everything you do is adorable in my eyes and I can’t help but laugh out of nothing but genuine happiness.”
“But- But I just flinched? What’s so cute about that?” you protested.
The male with the navy locks chuckled heartily right before answering, “Your sudden change of expression and the small sound you made. Even the smallest details in an artwork are important, doll. Never forget that.”
“Oh, archons,” you muttered whilst your cheeks started to burn, your face already revealing how flustered you were upon such a comparison, but before you could pommel your head in his bare chest once again that morning you felt your chin being captured between his thumb and index finger.
“Not this time, darling~”
“But Kae—”
Without even listening to what you were going to bring out to him you tasted those oh-so-familiar sweet lips of his, the sensation that the loving act brought quickly making you forget all your troubles.
It were frivolous moments like these that made life lovelier than it already was.
