Summary
Being sentimental was a stupid thing for a pirate to be.
In all his years travelling with Ed, it was something that he had steadfastly ingrained in Izzy’s mind. Pirates don’t keep things and they don’t keep people. It was not a luxury for people like them, not something they had the benefit of enjoying.
Lucius had been making his way to the kitchen when the ring caught his eye resting by one of the barrels that Swede was so fond of napping in. Lucius picked it up and turned it over in his hand. It was small, gold with what might have been an unpolished emerald set with thick prongs.
It was also Izzy’s, the ring he had slipped onto his hand while Lucius sketched him and refused to talk about it.
Lucius put the ring on his pinky and set out to find Izzy
