Dull. Dull is the only thing that Uzumaki Naruto could ever comprehend when he thought of Konoha. The colour was lacking, it felt as if his life were in black and white.
He hates dark colors.
Dark colors acted as if they were above everyone else, dark colours beat him up [I LET HIM WIN, BELIEVE IT!] during academy spars and walked away as if Naruto wasn't worth the effort.
Dark colours hurt everybody around him. Dark colours reminded Naruto of where he lived, dark colors....
Sasuke took his family for granted, and had a cool clan to train with, and had a mom and a dad and a brother and a cousin and-
Uzumaki Naruto hates dark colours, and his life is filled with dark colours,
But....
But Naruto isn't repulsed by pink, as any other boy would,
("Hey!" He called out, as the other kids laughed and jeered at him, as usual, "Pink is a girly color, but it's bright!")
"Forehead!" The other girls would cry out, but Naruto didn't interfere, (This is normal, he initially thought, maybe children who are worth oaying attention too are hated.)
Naruto squints at Pinks forehead, which in return, made him look confiscated, the other girls looked repusled, but went back to their shiny, new, plaything. (What are you doing? Why won't you look at me? I'm worthy of your attention too!)
He never sees the hurt that flashes across her eyes as he stands there, with no interference toward the bullying whatsoever,
A girl with blonde hair comes sprinting into the playground, knocking Naruto into the sandbox, and shooing the other girls away like flees, (-She didn't even apologize,)
Something in his chest squeezing and twiststing as the dull girl got close with what was rightfully his. (He saw her first! Ya know!]
Bright hair, bright hair is what Uzumaki Naruto is thinking of when he pushes Sasuke out the way of freezing cold sebon, and crushed by a block of ice somewhere along the line, with the needles preventing him from from moving out of the way. (You'd better keep her safe, Sasuke-Teme.)
Bright hair is the only thing Naruto can think about, when he hears that Konoha's-(Konoha-Konoha-a dull place where children grow up in a red light district with the mysterious sounds and words Iruka-Sensei was apalled he even knew about-) last remaining Uchiha is leaving the village.
But as Naruto rushes to the battle of the end, all he can see is four children, (Bright, yet so dull,) surrounding the one who had brought him any meaning to his life.
Sasuke runs his hand through the circle displayed on her back, it fits perfectly.
Haruno Sakura doesn't die until he turns his back to her, and quietly smiles through the feeling of electricity tunning through her veins. (Because she lived Sasuke, and it wasn't just a petty crush, if this is what he wants..then..) The last thing she ever got to see (I'll see you soon, just don't ask me for a date as soon as I get there, idiot.) was Sasuke's terrified expression, as he witnessed his allies getting ripped too shreds, something his Sharingan would never forget for the rest of his life.
(Enough with the seals, Naruto.)
Menma Namikaze just wants to see Sakura again, even if he has to rip open the seal keeping the Kyuubi contained. (Even if he has to kill Sasuke.)
(Naruto's Rasengan peirces through Sasuke's chest, even as electricty runs through his veins.)
Menma wants a life full of colour.
(Hashirama retracts the Nine tails from him, betrays him.)
But his life was dull, not worth living.
(Iruka, the only one who was dull, yet so, so vibrant, slashes Naruto's chest with a kunai.)
But..
(He gets too see his revived mother, and realizes, that he was happy just being alive.)
Menma wishes, that he spent more time smiling. He remembers the book written by Tsunade of the Sannin.
(The little mermaid took one last look at her prince, and fell straight to the bottom of the sea.)
As the sage of six paths floods the makeshift world, Menma smiles.
(Even as the little mermaids body was rapidly turning into sea foam, fear was a complete stranger too her.)
Uzumaki Naruto is ripped apart by golden chains, and awakens to a completely normal world. One he'd learn to appreciate within a span of 5 hours.
He thinks it was a dream.
But Ootsutsuki Kaguya welcomes him with open arms.
Well, Uzumaki Naruto used to think he was above screaming.
"What the hell took you so long to get here?! I'm glad you lived a long happy life, but it's rude to keep a girl waiting!" And Haruno Sakura's eyes shone brighter than her hair.
