It was a peace full day in the herd, the herd only had 5 horses a grey dapple Andalusian mare who was the leader of the small herd her name was Sky , and then we have the dapple grey Percheron stallion who's name is Dimitri and his mate Koda whose's a Grulla paint mare and then we have the last too Aspen and Khione, Aspen is a buckskin Andalusian stallion and Khione is a grey welsh pony mare the herd was small considering the fact that the herds had been "going missing" or dying from a unknown disease that's why the herds on south had been much smaller then the usual herds, The small herd wasn't to concerned for now as they had been living on south for 7 or more years now without any problems .
But then one day the herd was grazing before seeing the lead tell that there is a herd meeting the herd was confused on what this herd meeting was about,Because the lead sounded way more serious the normal then they all gathered around the rock that the lead normally stands on, "now listen here everyone" sky said in a serious tone,so all of the other just stood still and listened to what sky had to say "we have to flee south hoof as there is a disease that manged to find its way back into south hoof" all the herd went silent and then the lead spoke again "the disease is called 'chronic wasting disease' and the sad thing it has no cure so that means the user either dies a slow pain full death or a very fast one" everyone's faces went pale and then Khione spoke up " there isn't a high chance to get it right?.." and then sky looked at her with a sadden look "no.. sadly the chance of us getting it is high because either way we will die or lose our mind" she sighed and then Dimitri asked "how are we going to leave south?" sounding a bit worried and sacred "we will leave with the ferry at night that goes to fort pinta and then continue from theres since the humans are normally asleep at that time" just said the lead and everyone just nodded and Aspen didn't trust the plan to much because of the humans but didn't say anything.
Everyone grazed until night came and everyone followed the lead to where the ferry was thankfully they we're able to catch it in time ,everyone then arrived in Fort as they all left the ferry before running off to the nearest spot that didn't have humans that was the Fort Pinta beach it,it was strange to not see them their but they guessed it was still night and the humans could be asleep but they decided they should just cool off and drink some water before continuing ,After a bit they started to move again as they couldn't stay long as that would mean they would get it faster they decided to go to the Figrove mountain , as they made their way there Khione decided to gallop to arrived there first when she was arrived she ended up walking around the place before she got attacked by one of the deer's that had the disease,she was taken by shock as it bit her she had no time to react before for some reason passing out, but then she woke up a few minutes later forgetting what happened or that she got bit and the bite mark wasn't there anymore?, she got up confused on why she was "asleep" or had passed out but then she was shocked to see that the others didn't arrive yet that worried Khione a bit so she decided to go down the path to where the champ area was and she was them and then they finally came.
After they had arrived they decided to stop for a bit in that little round area in the mountain where that old lady does her zombie pole bending thing,they were a bit shocked to not find her there but as they all went into the like round shaped area but for some reason Dimitri stopped near one of the fences the others got confused as too why he had stopped Sky,Aspen and Khione were at near the edge where they could see Valedale lake and Koda was with them,But then they heard the most horrifying noise every to see it was Dimitri they were shocked,but then they saw the fact that he had..Antlers!,Koda rushed over just for Dimitri to use his antlers to push Koda,causing Koda to crush into the ground she manged to get up, she was shocked then she saw him start to breath heavily and then after that he looked up to see their shocked and concerned faces and then they heard me say under his breath "oh..no the disease had found us" and the others were shocked ,then Koda went to Dimirti to try and help him and then he said "The disease had found us..that means sooner or later we all will catch it.." as he started to slowly rot ,Koda was still next to him trying to help him to still stand as if he would lay down he would never get up and have to still rot painfully, but then they went into valedale lake were the trees and grass was to eat a bit as they started to get hungry but they knew they needed to continue,they finished grazing and then continued and then they walked but then they heard the Sky say they were heading to the the abandon farm in the forgotten fields.
After a day or two they ended up arriving to the forgotten fields at the old barn, everyone just looked around before sky spoke up "ah, the doors are locked and are rusty we cannot get in" Koda then spoke up "lemme try,oh it doesn't work so do we have to return to figrove mountain ""she said as she still felt that eerie feeling there she looked back to see that Dimitri was their and that the rotting has gotten worse,that kinda made Koda worry a lot since that means sooner or later he may end up passing away and she was not ready for that but she knew that he will end up dying either way,then when she snapped out of the thought she heard sky say "everyone there is this old abandoned place we're the humans used to put there cows in we could stay there for a bit" and then they all went to where Sky told them about.
After they arrived to the cow-like stable they decided to rest, It took them a bit to rest sky and Aspen we're the first ones to fall asleep and then Koda and Dimitri as all the horses fell asleep,For some odd reason Khione couldn't sleep at all she felt restless and she felt like she needed to leave and a voice kept on telling her she needed to get out of there,she didn't wanna listen but she still followed and listened,she had arrived to place away from the forgotten,The place it looked like to be back at the figrove mountain but she was standing in the middle of the area that was passed the fence she was just standing there in the middle everything seemed normal until,She felt antlers coming and then as they grew at fast speed causing Khione to scream a horrifying one she started to feel weaker she couldn't move at all aswell, and then she looked infront of her giggling as they watched her and then she fell down as half of her face was ripped off and after that they left her lying lifeless in her own of her blood half of her faces being ripped they just left her corpse to rot.
It was morning now, everyone woke up they where less tired now but sleeping on the hard ground was uncomfortable but it was better then nothing they all thought,Sky and Aspen were tired so they were still laying down,while Koda got up and saw how bad dimitri condition was getting like skin was starting to rot at a faster phase,Koda just sighed she knew that he would die soon and she wasn't ready at all for his death but she knew he was already suffering enough so him passing would end his suffering right?, Sky looked around seeing if everyone was here but then as she was looking she saw that Khione was missing?,This confused and worried her as she knew the pony mare would never just leave them so she knew something is wrong then she decided to go and find the pony mare even when it was only morning..but then she left to go check it out as with Aspen so they could both flee if they get attacked koda and dimitri stayed behind as Dimitri could barely move now as it was pain full for him to do so, The rotting started a week ago so that means in 2 weeks or less he will end up passing away from the rot and how they all wished it life was normal.
Sky and Aspen wondered where the pony mare could be, they looked every where in the forgotten fields and then Aspen was thinking for a few minutes before sky spoke up "wait! what if she is back at the figrove mountain?!" Aspen then asked "how would we be sure its there?" then sky spoke again "Because she couldn't have gone to south and fort is way to far" and then they just continued to figrove before going to the mountain,to check it out at first they didn't see anything on the path but then when they entered the area past the fence in the figrove mountain they saw a dead body,They decided to get closer to see what it was but then they got attacked by two deer's that had the Chronic wasting disease, One bit the skin on sky's neck reveling the bones there causing sky's body to fall to the ground and then the deer started to eat the rest of her body,Aspen just watched in horror he just felt shocked and felt like his body couldn't move,and then tears started to fall as she watched the other deer get close knowing this would be the end for him,he just accepted his fate,and then the other deer ripped his skin on his belly before drinking his blood causing also him to fall and then the deer ate him as well and then they left.
*4 days later* it has been 4 days and the other two haven't returned she sighed and Dimitri has been getting worse and worse he can barely eat,talk or do anything ,She knew that when the other two didn't return that means they are died as they would have came back after the 2nd day she knew this ment that she and Dimitri are the last ones alive but soon enough it would be only her and her only.
*2 weeks later* Screams of pain came of inside the cow like stable/barn, as Dimitri was screaming in pain of him rotting slowly and as he feels his skin start to peel off and it hurt a lot he was screaming over and over screams of pain , The Rot felt like it was pulling at his skin and cutting it over and over until it finally stopped, Koda was outside as she couldn't bare to see the sight but then after everything went quiet she entered to see his body,it looked like had been ripped into many shred's she just laid next to his dead body crying and sobbing till the next morning, she decided to leave to run.
After a week,she was able to find somewhere away from figrove and the forgotten fields she decided to live there,but she could kept on hearing voices and seeing things but she just ignored it and thought it was because she was tired,she then just slept since she didn't,so she just rested and relax or try too.
It has been 5 weeks since she moved to this new place or is staying there and those past 5 weeks where hell,it had been driving her insane she keeps on seeing Dimirti every where she goes and she keeps on telling him to leave her alone and he keeps on saying ""oh..why you left me at the old barn/ stable? huh?!" she just trys to but to no avile it drove her insane , Now shes standing near water shes looked at the water before drowning herself and hearing his laugh and then when she looked up she saw all of them looking at her laughing and then Khione saying "finally we can rest now" before her vision went black and she never opened her eyes.
