   Summary

"In the top drawer of my desk, you will find the name of a lady," Anthony Bridgerton told his brother Benedict, moments before their lives were changed forever. "See that she is provided for."

   "Anthony-" He started to say.

   "You must promise!"

"Of course," Benedict said solemnly. "I promise."

Ten minutes later, a bullet was in Simon Basset's shoulder, Daphne was on the ground next to him, all but hysterical. And Benedict knew his life would never be the same again.
