Aubrey Hall Hospital is one of London’s most exciting hospitals to work at, with its level three trauma center and world class doctors it is a place that regularly saves lives. If one should find themselves in a life threatening scenario, you should hope that the ambulance brings you to Aubrey Hall.
At the hospital, Dr. Edmund Bridgerton is chief of surgery and runs an elite surgical program. The Bridgertons have had long ties to the hospital that can be traced from as far back as the 19th century. While visiting Aubrey Hall one may be confused by how many Bridgertons there are…
As previously mentioned Edmund Bridgerton, is not only the chief of surgery but also chief of general surgery. He is a kind man with good morals, but don’t let his friendly demeanor fool you. He is quite hardcore with a scalpel in his hand.
Married to the chief is Dr. Violet Bridgerton. While not a surgeon, Violet is a Pediatrician. The two met during Edmund’s residency when he was passed out on a gurney during a most horrid night shift. She gave him a banana and water, and the two chatted for hours until Edmund’s pager went off. She has one of the gentlest souls and you will always have your child in good hands when visiting Dr. Bridgerton.
The two also have a large brood of children that all coincidentally have an interest in healthcare. From eldest to youngest there is Anthony, Benedict, Colin, Daphne, Eloise, Francesca, Gregory, and Hyacinth. Currently working at the hospital are the eldest four Bridgerton children, the younger half are still in school. Eloise and Francesca are in medical school, while Gregory and Hyacinth are at university.
Dr. Anthony Bridgerton is currently a fifth year surgical resident. Blessed with the same skills as his father, Anthony has a talent for general surgery. While father and son work together in the OR, it is like a well oiled machine, anticipating one’s move without even a word. It is assumed that Anthony will choose general as his specialty, but last year cardio caught his attention when a beating heart in a box arrived at Aubrey Hall. Cardio is for the most ambitious and cut-throat of surgeons and Anthony definitely has what it takes. But does he have the courage to stray from his father’s footsteps? Along with his gaze turning towards cardio, another factor of Anthony’s attention may be the newest transfer Dr. Katharine Sharma. Ever since her arrival the two have gone head to head on who can take on the most difficult and unique cases. The pair constantly fight over cardio and can be seen yelling very close to one another.
Dr. Benedict Bridgerton is a fourth year surgical resident. Just under the class of his older brother, many thought Benedict would strive in general surgery as well. But when the time came to see where Benedict’s strong suit was, it was not general. With the eyes and judgment of others looking at Benedict, he felt like an absolute failure. It should come naturally, he is a Bridgerton after all, it’s in his blood! But it seems that the second son has the skills for plastics. Benedict’s hands are the most precise and detail oriented in his class. Anthony may tease him about nose jobs and brazilian butlifts, but if one should arrive with a busted face there is no worry that Dr. Bridgerton (with the guidance of his attending) can repair it identically to how it was, or maybe even enhance it if one prefers.
Colin Bridgerton is a Paramedic at Aubrey Hall Hospital. Unlike his brothers, Colin preferes the exciting pace and high stakes of being on site. He loves the rush of driving the ambulance and using his quick instincts in order to stabilize his patients. While he is not a Doctor, his work is still valued and without him, his brothers wouldn’t have any interesting cases. Colin also knew that he did not want to go through years of medical school and residency. Who has time for all of that studying anyways? Plus his uniform is a great tool for picking up the ladies (and getting out of traffic tickets).
Daphne Bridgerton is one of the best Pediatric Nurses the hospital has seen in a long time. She has the same gentleness as her mother, and quick wit of her father. Daphne can always get the most rambunctious child to cooperate, with four younger siblings she’s learned many tricks. Gliding through the halls in her plum scrubs and dazzling smile, she is known as the “Pretty Nurse” by the children and has received many offers from her patients (she’s had to decline all of them as they are too young for her). Though Daphne does capture the gaze of many workers at Aubrey Hall, they have never confronted her as she is the Chief’s daughter, and having two brothers skilled with scalpels and one with a getaway car doesn't help as well. The overprotectiveness frustrates her, but Daphne does know it comes from love. It also doesn’t help that the Ortho resident that’s lads with Anthony keeps locking eyes with her…
