Dipping the brush into the paint, Amaruq made the final stroke that finished his painting. It was a painting of the sun rising above the horizon, the sky in several shades of pinks and oranges. Amaruq held the painting in front of him, observing it for a few seconds before smiling proudly, feeling prideful about the painting.
He got up from where he was sitting on the ground to walk across the room, setting it on the desk to dry so it wouldn’t get ruined, before going back to where he was and sat back down, picking up another canvas and setting it on the floor before him. He picks up a pencil, sketching what he wanted to paint next.
