Summary
Regan could hear the rain from under the rubble of the fallen building, but it yet to fully register in his mind. He was bleeding. He could tell that much but his mind was disoriented and he couldn’t think straight. He had led his men into a trap. It was a trap. He knew it was too late now, he had lost this battle. He could only hope that his brother had fared better than he. Distantly he could hear voices, he could hear the bricks and rocks being moved. Back then he was hopeful and happy that he was being saved. He wanted to live this much he knew. It was a world that he wanted to see; he wanted to experience it in its fullest beauty. He could care less about the future as long as right here and now he was alive. He wanted to live. He reached out his hand as he saw the sun rise.
