"You are so over reacting Tubs" Tommy mumbled, sinking further into the sofa. "This place isn't perfect but it isn't that bad,'' he insisted. Tubbo only stared at him with annoyed eyes, arms crossed over his chest.
"It is truly the worst, back me up Wilbur," Wilbur peaked up from his phone, glancing at his and Tommy's intertwined fingers briefly before trying to figure out the conversation. It didn't take long because they had this same conversation at least weekly and it's the only thing they ever argued about.
"Babe I'm sorry. This apartment is absolute shit" he confirmed, pressing an apologetic kiss to his boyfriend's cheek. Tommy scoffed, instinctively leaning into the touch. "And besides, you make enough to find a better place" he added quickly.
"Wilbur, Im saving" he groaned, words drawn out in an annoyed groan. He didn't particularly know what he was saving for but he figured it was just best to lay low. Internet fame was fleeting, he needed a little cushion in case things went south. And he didn't want to live off of Wilbur if it came down to it.
"You can still save somewhere nicer" Tubbo frowned, still trying to convince Tommy that his landlord was a freak and he was in danger.
"Oh my god I've been here almost a year now. I'm fine" He chuckled, and finally, after 20 more minutes the younger men decided to drop the topic. Wilbur was thankful for that, it made easing his own thoughts that much easier. For at least the past 2 months he had been thinking way too much about him and Tommy. He had come to the conclusion that he was ready for them to move in together but the blond was so proud of being independent and he didn't know how to address it.
Obviously he didn't want Tommy to think he was trying to baby him or be his provider. Because as hot as Wilbur found the idea of being a big manly man breadwinner, he knew his boyfriend hated that concept. So now he was left over thinking and not knowing how he was supposed to bring this shit up.
"Are you listening to me bell end?" he blinked, slowly and made eye contact with his lover. He offered a small smile, leaning in to kiss him quickly and shake his head no. Tommy flushed red, blinking in shock at the sudden affection before giving a forced annoyed grimace. "At least you're honest" he sighed. "We were asking you to be our decider for Hamilton or Encanto" he explained. Wilbur sighed, glancing up in thought. Tommy always wanted to watch Hamilton so he figured that was his safest bet on pleasing the blond.
"Im in the mood for Hamilton" he answered, watching as Tommy groaned and Tubbo did a small cheer. He had apparently fucked up logic wise.
"Fine" he grimaced, flicking through Disney plus until he came upon the musical he had seen a million times. In the end Wilbur wasn't entirely wrong, seeing as Tommy refell in love with the musical by helpless. He just couldn't help himself, snuggling into Wilburs side and obnoxiously singing into his ear.
Wilbur should have been annoyed but by now Tommys loud, bursting energy and stupidity were so endearing that his heart could only long for him more in times like this. He wrapped his arm tighter around the man, leaning his face into the crook of the blond's neck and cooing the chorus back to him in a much more genuine tone. Tommy was so easy to fluster, glowing at the serenade.
After the song ended the younger couldn't help himself, sliding practically on top of his boyfriend and giving him a kiss, longer and sweeter than the previous peck. Tubbo groaned at the twos usual PDA, just annoyed that Ranboo wasn't there to help him out do the couple.
"Oi, wanna stop sucking face till the Say No To This at least?" He called, watching with playfully annoyed eyes. Tommy reluctantly pulled back, looking down at his lap.
"Mmm, I wish we could do that forever" he sighed, slipping back into place next to him. It was only a make out dazed off hand comment but Wilbur couldn't contain his grin at it. Before his brain could catch up to his mouth he was staring at the blond.
"Move in with me?" He blurted. "We could make out way more," he added in a semi joking tone. He figured maybe if things went south he could play the whole thing off as a joke. Not that he wanted to take that road of course. Tommy only stared at him, eyes wide as he processed the information.
"N-now?" He asked, voice not giving any indication on his opinion of the offer. Wilbur gulped, summoning a bit of courage and giving a crooked grin.
"I mean… yeah. It'd get Tubbo off your back" he chuckled, and Tommy couldn't help the fond snort he let out. No matter what Wilbur found a way to violently yank at his heart strings.
"Uhh, yeah. Fuck it" he agreed, still too stubborn to admit he actually hated his apartment. Moving in with Wilbur would be a literal blessing, especially seeing how much time he already spent at the older man's flat. He practically was moved in.
"I love you," Wilbur added, swept up in the emotion. It wasn't the first time the words had been spoken but they were a very playful couple. Casually arguing as a form of advanced flirtation and jokingly shoving each other around. They usually showed their love instead of announcing it. Tommy proved that point by tackling his boyfriend back down into the sofa, arms wrapped tight around him.
"And I hate you you sappy sod" he replied, eyes betraying his harsh words as they swirled with adoration. Wilbur smiled at the insult, wrapping his own arms loosely around the blond's waist. Tubbo only watched, annoyance and relief mixing. He was just glad he didn't have to come back to Tommy's shit hole of an apartment.
"Bout damn time" he announced, leaning back in his seat. Amd really the couple couldn't agree more.
