He always wanted to travel, Amaruq, always wanted to land on Earth Kingdom soil and find what’s hiding from him in the Earth Kingdom capital of Ba Sing Se, to see what lies beyond Southern Water Tribe waters.
So when he met Szeto, the literal Avatar and he offered to let Amaruq travel with him Amaruq was ecstatic, making sure to take the time to say proper goodbyes to his family and the very little friends he had in the village he grew up in and to consider what he needed to take.
Eventually, Amaruq boarded the ship Szeto had took so he could learn waterbending, sailing to where Szeto will learn the art of earthbending, excited to where this will take him.
