Aka the fic, I wrote after making this Tumblr post and wanting to see it through lol

“Must be a pretty good argument if you aren’t pushing Grif away,” Washington said with an amused smirk.
Simmons looked at him with a question in his eyes and the freelancer gestured up to Simmons's head, where, sure enough, Grif’s fingers were running through Simmons’s hair. Once Simmons became aware of it he also became aware of the fact that it felt really fucking good, but that just added to his embarrassment and he quickly pulled away.
Simmons pushed Grif’s hand away, sure that the other soldier was going to laugh or make fun of him, but instead, he pouted, pouted, up at Wash.
“Aw man, why’d you have to say something, I finally got the guy to relax a little.”
The confirmation that Grif had been aware of what he was doing and had been doing it for Simmons made his cheeks heat up even more.
Wash just shrugged apologetically, “Sorry, I didn’t realize he didn’t know. I’ve never been so distracted that I didn’t feel hands running over my scalp.”
