Hunter Lee is lazily playing a mobile game when a call interrupted him. It's Sunny Kim. He swiped the answer button.
"Hel---" Naiwan sa ere ang salita niya nang marinig niya ang pag-iyak ng nasa kabilang linya.
'Here we go again. 'He said to himself.
"Hunter! Huhu. I saw him again in the supermarket. May iba na talaga siya! What happened to the 3-month-rule--"
"Get over him, Sun." He cut him out. Wala naman kasi siya maintindihan sa mga sinasabi nito dahil iyak ito ng iyak.
"Ang sakit... huhuhu." He's crying like a baby. " I can't believe it! One week pa lang kaming hiwalay! May iba na siya?! Naka move on na siya sakin?! Huhuhu. Bakit? Hunter?! Bakit kaya? "
"For the record, three times na kayong nagbreak." He lazily said.
" How could you? I am your damn bestfriend! Why are you always this rude to me? "
Ouch .
"I am not your bestfriend." He corrected him in a firm voice.
"You are! We grew up together! I am the closest person to you! You are my bestfriend! " He insisted.
"We grow up together? Eh bat maliit ka pa rin? " Natatawang sagot niya dito.
"I hate you, Hunter Ambrosio Lee! Masakit na nga ang puso ko, pinapainit mo pa ang ulo ko sa kawalang kwenta mong kausap. Pag ako nainis, di natalaga kita kakausapin!" Pagbabanta ng binata sa kabilang linya.
"So, naiinis kana sakin? " He said while smiling like an idiot.
"Oo."
"Edi wag mo na akong kausapin. Bye!" Then he ended the call.
One...
Two...
Three...
bzzzzt . bzzzzt .
"Hello. How may I help you? " He playfully said. He knows it's Sunny.
"You're a jerk, Hunter! " Sigaw nito sa kabilang linya.
He just laughed.
"How could you be this mean to me?! Of course , You can't understand how am I feeling now because you haven't love anyone except yourself! Someday, karma's gonna hit you!" He cursed.
"And I will meet my match and will break my heart and you will never help me? "
"Yes." sagot ni Sunny na may kasamang hiccup.
"Okay. " He lazily replied.
Sunny didn't say anything then Hunter heard him crying again. Wait...
Parang iba na to ah. Iba na yung iyak niya. He started to feel worried.
"Sun, are you okay? " He asked.
But all he can hear is his cries.
"Hey Sun! Sun! Are you okay? " He asked again. But his sobbing becomes louder.
Shit !
"Sunny, answer me! Where are you? " He asked once again as he picked up his keys and approach the door. But when he opened it he saw him standing there. His phone is still on his ear but he's crying heavily. And when Sunny lifted his face and Hunter almost died.
'Shit ! Ano na namang ginawa ng gagong yun ?!'
Mugtong mugto ang mata nito as if he's been crying all day. Hindi na kinaya ng puso niya ang sitwasyon ng kaibigan. He raised his hand to wipe away his tears.
"Shhh... Stop crying. "
"Hunter..." Yun lang at yumakap ito sa kanya.
"Let's go inside." He pulled him inside his unit and let him sit on the couch.
"Tubig." Hunter handed his a glass full of water.
Sunny accepted it and drinks. Half way he stopped and starts crying again.
He sat by his side and hugged her. Naiinis siya. Dito. Sa lalaking yun. At sa sarili niya.
Naiinis siya kay Sun, kasi nagpapakatanga ito para sa isang lalaking walang kwenta.
Naiinis siya sa sarili dahil nagpapakatanga siya dahil mahal nya ang taoong kaibigan lang ang turing sa kanya.
At lastly, naiinis siya sa lalaking yun! Anong meron dun at nagawa nung itapon ang isang bagay na ginto para sa kanya?!
Marahil napagod na si Sunny sa kakaiyak kaya't tumahimik na ito. Hinayaan niya na lang itong nakasandal sa kanya. Maya maya pa'y napansin niyang mahuhulog na ang ulo nito. Nakumpirma niyang tulog na nga ang binata. Binuhat niya ito papuntang kwarto niya. Pagkalapag niya rito sa kama niya akmang kukuha siya ng una at kumot para sa couch na lang matulog subalit hinawakan ni Sun ng kmay niya.
'Shit !' He cursed internally.
"Hunter..." He murmured, eyes still closed. "Dito ka lang please... Wag mo kong iwan, Hunter..." He said as he stretched out his arms to reach for Hunter.
"Sun ..."
"Please.."
Napabuntong hininga siya at nahiga sa tabi nito. Sumiksik agad ito sa dibdib niya at yumakap.
"Thank you, Hunter." He said as he is gently rub his nose against his shirt. Damn! Hunter's in hell. He closed his eyes firmly to calm himself. He wanted to stop him but he loves what he's doing. It's painful on his part, but it's weird... that he's loving the pain.
"I love you...."
He froze.
"....best friend."
Hunter suddenly want to cry hard, to shout, to throw things.
Ang sakit. I love you na, eh. Kaso may bestfriend pa!
Hindi niya alam kung anung oras siya nakatulog basta nagising siyang wala na si Sunny. He went to the kitchen to get water when he saw a note on the refrigerator's door.
" Thanks for being a friend , Hunter . xoxo . Sunny "
Lalong sumakit ang ulo niya sa nabasa.
Wala na yatang ginawa itong si Sun kundi saktan ang puso niya.
