Emily has always liked giving gifts. At first, Jennifer didn’t understand why Emily would always come home with little gifts randomly. Once she had gotten to know the brunette better she had learned that was how she expressed her love if she couldn’t do it in the form of physical touch.
“Jen are you home?” Emily announced as she entered the foyer placing her keys in the bowl and kicking off her shoes.
Jennifer makes her way around the corner. “Em put your shoes away, the rack is right there.” She had never understood why Emily just didn’t place them on the rack after taking her shoes off, and Emily didn’t understand why she had to put them on the rack if she was just going to put them back on in the morning.
“You’re mean,” Emily pouted as she placed her shoes on the rack.
“I’m super mean, but you know I’m right,” Jennifer said wrapping her arms around her girlfriend, pulling her close.
“I hate it when you’re right,” Emily said before she placed a series of chaste kisses on the blonde’s lips.
“I’m making dinner come on,” Jennifer said with flushed cheeks, now walking into the kitchen. Emily followed the blonde.
“What are you making,” asked the brunette as she sat down on one of the barstools.
“Just simple Mac & cheese,”
“Yes!” Emily smiled. Jennifer loved how she was a child at heart. Who knew a bowl of mac & cheese and a Disney movie would make Emily Prentiss melt. Jennifer just flashed a soft smile at the brunette.
“I got you something, well it was delivered today.”
“You did,” Jennifer replied as she reached for the strainer to drain the noodles.
“Yeah it’s really cool, let me go grab it,” Emily disappeared out of the kitchen and Jennifer continued with the Mac & cheese. The brunette walked back in as she was grabbing the bowls.
“Do you wanna sit at the table or on the couch,”
“Table please,” JJ replied as she placed forks in their bowls and walked them over to the table. Emily followed after she had grabbed two glasses of water.
“Hold out your hand,” The blonde followed the brunette's directions.
Emily slid a bracelet on her wrist. It was a sky stone bracelet with a sea turtle charm.
“Em I love it.” She said as she got a closer look at the bracelet.
“That’s not the cool part, this is,” Emily said as she handed JJ the paper. She took a second to read the paper, as Emily continued eating her food. Once she was reading Emily looked up and saw that sparkle in her eye, she would do anything for that sparkle in her favorite blue eyes.
“Em you were right this is awesome.” The paper was an introduction to a sea turtle named Edwin, she can download an app and see where her sea turtle travels every day.
“I saw an ad and it reminded me of you,”
“I love you, Emily, thank you,” Jennifer mumbled on the brunette's lips after pressing a kiss on them.
“You’re welcome my love, now eat your Mac & cheese,” Emily said as she reached for the blonde's hand and intertwined their fingers.
