Summary
“Does it feel like it’s suffocating you too?” JJ’s jaw worked uncomfortably as she spoke. Her voice sounded so brittle, like it might crack at any moment.
Emily swallowed. The haunted look in JJ’s crystalline eyes, she knew, was being reflected right back in her own.
“Yes,” she said, instead, the word like the sharp side of a blade. “Sometimes I find myself… back there. Almost like it’s safer there than it is here.”

Summary

I want to write about Jemily and how I think they would have been if the assholes in charge of Cannon weren't sexist, homophobic dicks intent on firing their actors. I'll be writing the kinks around them, not them around the kinks so, they absolutely have conversations and you will be reading about them washing their hands because my neuro-spicy everything brain has a list of things I can't stand in a fic and no one washing their hands is one of them. Slow burn but not that slow, just enough time jumps to make it seem believable cause wtf do you mean everyone isn't demi-sexual? Will not be writing about cases you can go watch the episode for but I'll probably reference relevant ones. These characters are heavily traumatised and I'll absolutely make it everyone's problem. Don't worry, I can't stand a hurt no comfort so- Trauma, trauma, kink, kink, Trauma. Smatterings of comfort.
