A Bad Impression (English)

Summary:

Lily and James meet for the first time. It doesn't go well.

EDIT: A commenter on this fic made me realize I should warn you all that this is a direct translation of a fic written in Tagalog (which is a language I'm studying). So it's not really well written. But feel free to read, comment, and let me know what you think!

Notes:

This is a translation of my Filipino fic. It's funny how I worked really hard with my limited Tagalog trying to make a dialogue that makes sense. Then I went back to translate it, and honestly I can't decide if they sound like the little kids they are or if they sound a bit too infantile this way. Either or, it was a lot of fun both writing and translating.

Work Text:

In the Hogwarts Express. James and Sirius are sitting. Lily and Severus enter the cabin.

Lily: Hello. Can we sit here?

James: Hmmmm.....What house do you like? I like Gryffindor.

Sirius: Me too!

Severus: Hmph.... Slytherin.

Sirius: That's ridiculous!

James: Slytherin is bad.

Lily: Slytherin? Gryffindor? I don't know.

Severus: You are a Slytherin.... with me.

James: No way! She's pretty. Slytherin's aren't pretty.

Sirius: Yeah! Also, Slytherin is stupid!

Severus: No! Gryffindor is stupid! Idiot!

Sirius: You're an idiot! And you are ugly!

Lily: Hey! That's not nice! Come on Severus. I'm fed up.

Sirius: Fine! Go then!

Severus and James: *sticks their tongues out to each other*
