Chapter Text
Hi, if your going to read this and haven’t realised from the title, this is not a fan fiction. It’s a analysis of Falsettos (primarily the 2016 revival but there is a few aspects that focus more on the original) and is just my ideas, thoughts and opinions on different aspects of the musical. I just didn’t know where else i could upload something like this and have the opportunity for others to potentially read it.
Now this first chapter isn’t actually part of the analysis and I’d appreciate it if you could read it just for some context of the writing but you can skip straight to chapter two if you would like.
First of all, these are my opinions and my thoughts so some of the things I interpreted from the musical may be wrong but its just what i thought about it. If you disagree or just have other theories and opinions, have a question about mine or want to discuss something please do comment them, i would absolutely love to have somebody to geek out about this musical with as none of my friends have seen it.
Secondly, i have absolutely zero experience in studying musical theatre itself let alone analysing it so all my knowledge of how to write a piece like this comes completely from when i had to study a few poems and a novel in my English class so please do not expect some really heavy analysis that uses quality literature techniques cause i will not be doing that hahah. And this piece will be quite messily written, almost like a blog post if you will. So i apologise in advance for the lack of skill in this writing.
I have no idea how long this final piece will end up and i may end up editing parts or adding a part to to some sections if i end up thinking of more i want to add. Each chapter will most likely be focused on a different aspect of the musical and I'm just gonna upload them when i have finished writing them so there wont be a proper schedule but I'll try my best to upload the next sections fairly quickly :)
Also I absolutely love falsettos, i think it is incredible and by far my favourite musical so if i end up saying anything critical of it please so not take it the wrong way.
