“Pound it!” The duo celebrated yet another battle won against Shadow Moth, Chat Noir’s ring beeped, making her wave him away, promising to take care of the victim herself.
The young heroine turned to the man, who was hugging his knees, smiling softly at him as she knelt down to look him in the eyes, whispering soft soothing words, as she walked him to the exit. She sighed, looking down at the park where she had found Adrien Agreste, the target of the akuma’s attacks, wondering if he had gotten hit.
The red and black earrings announced another minute gone and only three left. Ladybug grabbed her yo-yo, as she swung, landing close to where the model sat on the bench, drinking from his bottle, breathing heavily, visibly distressed from the chase.
She cleared her throat, lacing her hands in her bangs, pushing it up, taking a deep breath, and walked closer. Noticing his alarmed face, as he saw her over his shoulder and realised who it was.
“Ladybug! what are you doing here?” Adrien stood up, facing her, only the wooden bench separating them.
“I was, swinging by, yes, and saw you! I wanted to check up on you before going home.” She told him, messing up a word or two along the way, as he flashed his bright smile in her way.
“You are kind, Ladybug, thank you.” He kept smiling, as he resisted rubbing his neck while talking.
“I was just doing my job.” She waved her hands around, looking away, as heat creeped up to her cheeks.
“Not just a job, I know you really are passionate about this, you’re doing a great job, too.” He paused, “You care deeply for our safety, and that’s enough reason to believe that, you going to bring Shadow Moth down sooner or later.”
She felt her heart beating quicker, as she stared wide eyed at the sweet blonde in front of her, her words melting at the tip of her tongue as she tried to reply, she took a deep breath, yelling mentally at herself to say something.
“I-”
“Adrien, it’s time to leave!” She was interrupted by the yell directed to Adrien, he smiled at her one last time, before bidding her a farewell, rushing back to the bodyguard, as he held the car door.
he waved at her, before the door closed, and car taking off into the traffic of the city of love, she scolded herself, letting out a groan as she sat down on the bench, where he sat perviously.
“Just perfect.” She rolled her eyes, catching a grey bag in the corner of her eyes, gasping as she recognised it, looking around, she found the park close to deserted by the visitors, she grabbed it, looking at it intensely, as she wore a determined look on her face, she’ll take it back to Adrien.
Beep, beep.
“Maybe later.” She winced, hooking her yo-yo to a building, as she swung home, de-transforming the moment she landed on her balcony.

Adrien was distraught, completely utterly terrified of what was about to go down the moment he managed to track down his bag.
He was seconds away from attempting to climb out from his bedroom window, without his miraculous , because, well, he had lost Plagg.
“How could I be so stupid!” He exclaimed to himself, having fallen into a habit of talking to Plagg, who usually only acknowledged him with a hum or, more commonly, a snore.
Not only had he lost plagg, but along with him were his fencing kit, his physics text-books, and half his lunch. He wasn’t that upset about the other stuff though, except maybe the lunch, it was a really good sandwich, but no, what worried him the most was the lack of a kwami, and, when you lost the Kwami of Destruction, you do tend to worry more.
“I have to find him, what if a new akuma happened.” He let out another whine, walking to his bedroom door, before pausing, remembering that he won’t be allowed out, as it was very late.
So, yeah, he was worried, and, visibly startled when he stepped over to his window to open the hatch only to see Ladybug hanging down from his roof, looking astoundingly pretty in the night lights, her blue hair shin- and she was mouthing words at him, through the windows, and he scurried to open them and let her in.
She swung in, her yo-yo whizzing in behind her, and landed gently on his bedroom floor, and now, Adrien had ladybug inside his bedroom in the middle of the night, suffice to say, he was feeling more than a little tongue tied, as evident by the string of words that left his mouth, it really was a passable attempt at being human, but, it seemed the sleep deprivation, the stress of losing his Kwami, and the overall state of exhaustion that he lived in, his mind was definitely not the best it had been.
“My bag!” He gasped, his eyes widening with awe and astonishment.
It also explained how he had so far failed to notice the grey bag that ladybug was carrying the grey bag that had Plagg in it and that she was holding up to him and she was saying words again and-
He jumped as if jolted into action, immediately taking the bag, trembling slightly as he held his breath, looking in to see Plagg, looking none the wiser, despite almost being kidnapped by the Parisian Heroine.
“I found it after you left, thought to return it to you.” She said.
“Thank you so much!” he laughed, breathless, as ladybug smiled at his now bordering on manic reaction to her returning his bag.
“Anything for my favourite Parisian!” she said, smiling at him with that wonderful smile, and his heart stuttered, his usual bravado lost in the absolute gymnastics that his mind had gone through in the past few minutes.
“ I- I didn’t think I was your favourite, Ladybug.” his shock and disbelief must have shown, both through his face and his voice, because barely a beat passed before she responded.
“Of course you are my favourite, Adrien! You are the kindest person I know!”
“I- “
“You have a big heart, to be able to love someone like Chloe”, Adrien tried not to wince at the obvious disgust in her voice when she said the name.
“To sum it all up, Adrien, you are amazing!”
“Th- thank you Ladybug! You are amazing too!”
She opened her mouth to say something, her cheeks red, but was interrupted by a loud burp that came from Adrien’s bag, followed by Plagg floating out, looking bleary eyed and extremely adorable.
He woke up soon enough, especially after the ear shattering scream that came from Ladybug.
There was going to be some explaining to do.
