----sam's pov----
it was 10 pm and i was on the couch watching stranger things s4. tory was upstairs doing work since it was canceled because of the heavy rain. i noticed i ran out of chips and water.. dangit- i reluctantly got up and went over to the kitchen. just as i opened the fridge.. *BOOM* oh.. there's thunder now too. didn't think much of it. i got water and my snacks and i headed back to the couch. about 20 mins later.. *BOOM* the power went off.. great.. i took my phone and went upstairs to find a larger flashlight. when i got to my room.. my heart sunk.. tory was in the corner, curled up and covering her ears. i quickly ran up to her.
"tory? TORY!? WHAT'S WRONG? WHAT HAPPENED? ARE YOU OKAY? I-" just then another loud *BOOM* appeared, and i saw tory flinch.. was she.. scared of thunder?
"tory... shhhh.. it's gonna be okay, alright? i'm here" i did my best to reassure her, and she nodded. okay.. i had an idea. i got up and went over to our bed. i searched the drawer and.. there. my airpods. i quickly ran back to tory, connected my airpods, and chose a playlist. i carefully took her hands away from her ears, and placed the airpods..
----tory's pov----
i couldn't take it anymore. the bad memories and its loud noises were too much to handle. i saw sam look at me with worry.. i didn't want that. i hated it. i hated it so bad. but then she took my hands off my ears. then i heard music and nothing else.. only the faint sound of the rain pouring down. i looked up to sam, she's trying to look for an answer of some sort.
i.. calmed down, fortunately. then i felt sam wiping the tears off my face.
"im such a f**king p*ssy" i looked away.
"no, you're not. we all get scared.. it's normal" she told me as she kissed my cheek. she sighed
----sam's pov----
"are you alright on your own?" i asked hesitantly. i needed to fix the power, but i couldn't leave her here..
she shaked her head.
"let's go to bed, shall we?" i stood up and held out my hand. she took my hand, i helped her get up and guided her to bed.
we layed down, and she cuddled me. after a few seconds, she was already asleep. "goodnight.. i love you" i said as i kissed her forehead.
