---- sam's pov ----
i woke up.. i turn over to the clock and.. it's 2 am. i turned over to tory and, she was still asleep. i kissed her forehead and stroke her hair. after a few minutes, i saw tory jolt awake.. my heart sank. she took the airpods off and was looking around.
"tory..? d-did i wake you up? i'm so sorry- i-"
she looked at me and she out her head in her hands.
i crawled to her and held her in my arms.
"are you okay? what happened? sorry if i woke you up.. i didn't meant to-"
"no.. just a nightmare" she told me quietly.
"do you wanna talk about it?"
she shook her head.
"alright.."
silence filled the room, until she spoke up.
"could you.. tell me stories about you and mr. miyagi?"
i was confused for a second. she never really cared it.. but i didn't hesitate.
i told her my experiences with mr. miyagi. she actually listened and commented about some, asked questions and laughed.

after an hour, i was commenting on the last story sam was telling, and when she didn't respond.. i realized she was asleep. just then, the power was back on. i sighed. i picked her up and laid her down. i put the blanket over her and kissed her nose.
"thanks princess. i love you" i said to her as i got out of bed to fix up downstairs.
