Jayce was bi- That was the simplest way he could put it.
Romantically, he fancied both guys and girls, and when it came to the more physical side of things, he only ever found himself attracted to girls. Viktor didn't mind the man's sexual relationship with Mel- He was asexual himself so he was just glad that his boyfriend could work out that side of his needs with someone who reciprocated.
However, as Jayce spent more and more time with Mel, and Viktor saw his partner less and less, the Zaunite found himself growing... Concerned.
"Jayce" he said, turning around in his chair as the Councilor returned from his day's work.
"Yes, Viktor?"
"What's going on with you and Mel?" he asked. His tone was less accusatory and more just sad, as though disappointed in himself for potentially boring his partner so much to the point where he would be unfaithful.
"I mean, you know about our sexual relation-"
"Yeah, I know" Viktor cut him off with a sigh. "I just mean... You spend so much time with her nowadays, I was worried that..."
"Viktor, can you look up at me, please?" Jayce asked him. Viktor slowly looked up at the other man, who had a gentle expression on his face. "I'll admit that I have been very busy with Councilor stuff recently, and that does include her, but nothing is going on, I promise you" he reassured. "You are my partner. She and I are just friends... With benefits"
"I know" Viktor replied. "I'm sorry, just-"
"Don't apologize" Jayce cut him off. "I get it. I have sort of been ignoring you recently, and I'm sorry for that, okay?" he apologized. Viktor managed a small smile. "But, I'm here now, and I would like to spend time with you"
...
"Okay"
