Summary
Sam is the only survivor in the outpost who is immune to a screecher's bite. He should know - he has the scar to prove it. He also knows how vicious screechers can be. The Phirus infection turned people into flesh-eating, aggressive zombies that work together to hunt humans like prey. Until a cure can be found from his blood, there's only one way to deal with a screecher, and that's to shoot it. After all, the only good zombie is a dead one. But after a supply run goes bad, Sam is caught off guard without a weapon or a way out. That's when he meets a screecher who might just change his mind.
