When they first met, Gura could not think that the person with whom she is now going through all the difficulties will become more than just a friend for her. She never thought about her future, at least who she was going to spend it with, but now this chance came to start thinking about it, because she had such a person. And although they sometimes have conflicts, disagreements and everything that is connected with breaking the connection for a while, they continue to love each other. And even if this love is wrong, let everyone discuss them behind their backs, even if difficulties arise on their way, they will still be together. For the rest of their lives, if that leads to it.
Before her, she sees only one person, Amelia Watson. This is the girl who was able to change her world and call more colors into it. And even though the detective did not stand out in character and can sometimes get angry for no reason, she still continues to love her. Amelia reciprocates her feelings. Gura herself breaks down for the usual reasons, but the detective always finds ways to subdue her anger. The first of these methods were hugs. Gura always loved to be drawn to her like this, with cold arms wrapped around her waist. Love how Amelia can always give her warmth with these seemingly simple things. She loves Amelia. Loves to the point of impossibility.
Amelia has always loved and will always love her cute shark. Even if it costs something worthwhile, she will give anything, but only so that after that she still remains with the Gura. Gura is sometimes a mean one who doesn't like anything. But Amelia always liked to walk up to her like that, squeeze her cheeks with her fingers to keep her from frowning, and kiss her nose, which would then be covered in a little blush. Gura always calms down, it is worth the detective only to squeeze her in a strong but gentle embrace. Amelia's favorite part was when she could cover the girl's whole face, her whole body, with light kisses that made her flinch every time the detective touched her porcelain skin with his icy lips.
Even if, right now, they are standing on the edge of the world, literally, holding hands. Even if this world is about to go to hell and never arise again. Even if it's all about to end now. They will still love each other.
Hand in hand. Shoulder to shoulder. Faces with smiles directed at the sunset, which they unfortunately meet for the last time.
No matter how many times Amelia tried to prevent this outcome, she would still go back to where it all started, and each time, the end was the same. I guess even her ability to travel through time can't change the date of the end of the world, or make it not happen at all.
The detective is young, but he is over a hundred years old. Gura knows this; she herself will soon be in the aging stage. Sometimes she thought that if her hair turned gray and her face wrinkled, Amelia would stop loving her, but then she heard the words...the words that changed her own mind. Words that made her smile.
If asked her. What she wanted, what gift she would want from life, she would answer that: "The best gift I would want from life is not important, the most important thing is that I meet it together with Amelia." She would have said it with all tenderness and smiled like she had never smiled before. With affection and love.
Unfortunately or fortunately, she didn't get the gift. But she is still standing next to the person she wanted to open it with. The person she wanted to get as a gift.
«I never thought the end of the world could be so beautiful.»
Gura opens her eyes. She meets the gaze of the blue eyes in which she fell in love at first sight, in which she saw herself and her future. Amelia smiles, she looks straight into Gura's soul, with tenderness and love, and it seems to take Gura's breath away when she sees it.
«And why is that?» Gura asks. She can't handle the smile that also appears on her lips. A blush stains her cheeks.
«The fact that I meet him with you makes me see everything in the world in bright colors!» She says it loudly and joyfully. Gura could say the same. Amelia reaches for her hand and brings it up to her face. She is on a shark of ajar eyelids and smiles. Slowly, she began to cover her palm with gentle kisses, her knuckles, the inside of her palm, and finally she leaned her cheek against it. «I can't believe this day has come after all.»
«Me too.» Gura speaks quietly, stroking the detective on the cheek with his thumb, he is more drawn to caress, though simple, but very necessary. «Fate decided to give us a surprise like this.»
«I am grateful for the fate that brought us together. You taught me to feel unforgettable feelings.» Amelia lowers the girl's wrist, but only to grab her chin and lift it slightly. Now their eyes are on the same level. A smile plays on their faces as well, either from joy or simply, a loving and gentle smile. «If it weren't for you, I wouldn't have realized that life and everything around me was so beautiful. Thank you.»
«It's a shame we won't see this beautiful world again.» Gura exhales. It has been the best life she has ever had in the company of someone like Amelia. She will miss her, but, the end had to come sometime. «That I spent all the days, months, years by your side was worth everything to end it all later.»
«The gods gave you to me, the gods will take you away. How ironic.» Amelia chuckles. She wouldn't want to lie to anyone, but Gura really was someone the gods had sent to her. She was something like an angel. An angel who was by her side every day. «I still can't believe it. All those years with you, and then the end of the world. Life must have decided to test us.»
«Even if it is.» Gura grabs the red tie of the detective and pulls the detective toward him. Their faces are only a few millimeters apart. Now they can feel their own breath on their lips. It's a hell of a feeling, mesmerizing and intoxicating. «Even if it is some kind of test for us, we passed it.»
A flash of light covers the broken town. The light goes all over the planet, filling it. It shines directly on them, as if to show that here they are, the people who could win. It's only for a few seconds, until it completely covers them in a yellow canvas. And between those beams, two voices are heard. Two loving, to the point of madness, voices. Who can only utter between a long kiss.
«Even now we are together.»
the end.
